So I thought that it could be that the installer for Rayblasterfaster (which I won't demo) might not have the permissions to install in that place.
How come?
ironically as I was going thru the demo again just now, I was remembering some of YOUR work on Absynth etc.
it actually sounds right up your alley.
I don't think it does bread and butter sounds well, but for the more abstract very digitally sounding stuff it seems to be doing interesting stuff there..maybe the method is unique, but to my ear it sounds very similar to stuff in Absynth and Iris and Padshop etc.

rsp
Wavetable synthesis doesn't interest me anymore and in the resynthing domain I'm totally covered with tools and apps so I just don't need another tool of the same/similar concept, why demo it then?
makes sense........ok

Because Rayblaster is not only about Resynthesis and wavetable emulations...

The Resynthesis is a seperate tool which BTW i have not used so far for my presets. Wavetable scanning more or less is something i found about myself while working with Rayblaster and i created a few of the necessary waveforms or "wavetables" to do this.

Even after i have done many many explanations in this thread some people still don't seem to have a clue about what Rayblaster really does.

For the beginning and for everyone interested in programming Rayblaster i could add: RTFM
(which could be found in the "Help" menu of the GUI (or as a PDF file in the install folder).

For some patches it works very well, but after going through a lot of presets it felt very much same-same to me.
I don't know what you're talking about.
he might be talking about the horrible metallic sound they have, might not.

seriously is that really necessary?

I have disagreed with Ingo many times here and in other threads, and we certainly have different aural tastes..

and yes one can even accuse him of being Tone2's PR person on this thread and others......but he has been informative and helpful to many here...

No harm in disagreeing, but the nastiness to me is uncalled for.

my uncalled for 2 cents

i dont see any nastyness there, just a simple observation.

You act like we're all too stupid to understand what it does.
It's just a softsynth like many others ...it just uses a "different" approach.

Instead of insulting our intelligence you could give some audio examples and show/prove us what it does that
no other plug in does.

You are implying something i didn't say and meant that way.
I am just a little surprised that now as people could use the synth themselves some (SOME, not all!!) don't seem to understand more about it's principles than with the explanations i have done from the beginning of this thread.

My comment was also made based on a specific claim that a user don't need another wavetable and Resynthesis synth and i claimed that this is just a part of what Rayblaster could do.

My last advice was to read the manual which could be found in the GUI (Help menu) or as a PDF in the installation folder.
In the manual at the description of the features usually an example preset from the Tutorial presets is mentioned for that feature.

Ingo, ignore Kriminal, little lad is just bitter as he wasn't involved with the testing or sound design. Funny really, he was all sweetness and light during Saurus' development.

It isn't like your run of the mill VA though, it does take some learning if you aren't experienced with it all. I haven't got a scooby how it works.
