What free synths need some more decent presets?

I'll probably regret this, but...
As I'm having my The Unfinished Advent Calendar thing this month, I've got a space in the schedule for a new, small product release.
Later this week I'm releasing a free 64 sound collection for one of the best free synths out there, but I'd also like to do a few more commercial soundsets for free synths that people think need more noises!
I'm thinking of banks of 64 sounds for about £5.
So, what free synths that people love would they like to see cost-effective but high quality soundsets for?
Whichever is the most popular choice, I'll do one later this month as part of The Unfinished Advent Calendar. And I'll pick one of the people that suggests it out of the hat and give them one free commercial soundset of their choice!
How's that all sound? Suggest away!
Cheers,
Matt

Selling presets for a free synth is sleazy, tacky, and classless. That's always been my opinion and always will be.....and no I don't care if anyone agrees or disagrees......synaesthesia wrote:

Hey Teksonik. You are more than entitled to your opinion, no need to apologise for it.
I think that given the amount of stuff I give away for free that describing me as sleazy, tacky and classless would be a bit strong. But I understand the potential disconnect in some people's minds between the idea of a synth being free but sounds for it not being free.
To me, they're two different products though. If the creator of the synth has chosen to give the synth away for free that is entirely their decision. That doesn't necessarily mean that I should then also give my time away for free in creating some sounds for it. I make part of my living from sound design, so I have to calculate how often I can do stuff for free and it be worth my while.
Also, if people own a free synth but aren't very good at programming or just want more sounds and are prepared to pay for them then maybe they should be allowed that choice?
However, I'm just throwing the idea out there because I know that some people can't afford the synths that I do create sounds for. If your opinion on the subject is one that a lot of people share, then that's absolutely fine and I won't make soundsets for free synths very often because then I won't be able to pay my bills.
I've asked a question because I'm interested in the answer, whatever that answer may be. I'm completely open minded on the subject.

Hi, thanks for your interest, but I think it is enough to have one thread about your patches.
Multiple threads like this one, feels too much like a sales pitch, and it is thus better to post in the sales sub-forum IMO
Thanks for your understanding

I can't see anybody paying for Synth1 presets when there are at least 10,000 good free ones available.

Charlatan and MauSynth are two newer great free synths that could certainly use some more great presets.

The reason I didn't put this in the Market Place forum is because things move so quickly there and I wanted people to have the opportunity to respond. To do so in the Market Place forums would have meant bumping it back to the top which, in my opinion, would have looked far more irritatingly spammy.
This is a genuine question to KVR people, giving them the opportunity to decide what free synth I could potentially make patches for. And there has been some interest, so...
If people want this thread closed or moved then that's fine by me. It wasn't my intention to rile anyone. Just wanted to add some more value to my giveaways and stuff and see if it was a worthwhile venture.
Cheers.

Yes, I know but that is the same for everybody. That is why we use the "bump"synaesthesia wrote:The reason I didn't put this in the Market Place forum is because things move so quickly there and I wanted people to have the opportunity to respond. The sub-forum for Instrument is crowded place too, and if everybody started to post multiple threads about their product it wouldn't make things better

Should we stop the billions of banal questions asking how to sound like Alesso/Aviici/SHM or whatever is the sound of the week? (Actually yes we should).
Here's a guy that's offering to do cheap soundsets for synths that don't get much attention from sound designers that know what they're doing (which he does).
Considering the amount of completely free stuff he gives away, why not let the thread be answered?
Thanks

Live and let live, but why couldn't the discussion about this just have kept going in the other thread?: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=366867

Because that is about free product he's giving away for paid for synths, and is happening now.
This thread is about paid for product he wants to give away in the future for free synths. And is happening in the future. This is research.

Otoh there are so many commercial synths that would benefit of your talent Matt, why bother to want to sell to people who choose both to not buy, then stay legit nonetheless ?
I dont have any moral POV on this, its just that it seems these are almost two separate worlds. Both having good reasons to exist.
I know one synth wich begins by an O for example, and ends with an M .....
