What free synths need some more decent presets?

The reasoning here is in general that if I for instance got a spare copy of Wusik to sell, I can post a thread about it here in the Instrument sub-forum, asking if people are interested in buying used copies of Wusik. And call that research?

Not even remotely the same thing. And I can't be bothered to explain why.Numanoid wrote:The reasoning here is in general that if I for instance got a spare copy of Wusik to sell, I can post a thread about it here in the Instrument sub-forum, asking if people are interested in buying used copies of Wusik. Not really the same Numanoid and I suspect you know that deep down.
However, you're right. I could have just chosen a synth all by myself and just released something. But I am genuinely interested to know what people at KVR thought.
If I've caused offence, it wasn't my intention. Have I got a bit excited with ideas for my Advent Calendar thing? Perhaps. Could I have asked this question in the other thread. Also, perhaps. But I'm sure we've all had experiences of threads that disappear in several different tangents and how utterly unusable they become.
Anyway... @Lotuzia. I'm afraid I'm going to have to plead ignorance on your synth suggestion. Am I being a bit dim in not knowing which one it is?

Actually, to return to Teksonik's original point. Perhaps it would be a nice/fair idea for me to donate to the developer of the free synth - especially so if it is a smaller developer or someone who only makes free synths.

Well you can certainly have orgasms with it, but its more like Oxium, and its not an oxymoron.

why? he made the choice to give his work away free...if you make a choice to charge for your work, its totally fine. I see no difference in paying for a set of sounds for a free synth or a commercial one...ppl will but if they want...stupid argument.synaesthesia wrote:Actually, to return to Teksonik's original point. I hear you Kriminal, but I do believe in paying it forward.
I've benefited from such altruism on a number of occasions and enjoy doing it myself - both as a sound designer and a composer/producer.

No good deed goes unpunished.
I tried here once to drum up interest in a group buy and got slammed. Never again.

Cool, there's actually some synths here I'd not heard of before, so will enjoy checking them out.
And I think the free set I'm releasing on Wednesday will please some people...
