Hi,
I get myself a Roland MC-303.
I wonder if there is anyone who can give me suggestions on VSTi editor for MC303.

I had a play around with one once upon a time, seriously thinking about getting something along those lines. Found it pretty shite though. Couldn't find anything in it that was useful or individual-sounding. I can't imagine why anyone would pay more than a few bucks for a 2nd hand one. There are just so many better options around...

So I answered in exactly the same vein. Yes, I agree MC303s are shite, and no I can't give him a reason for buying one.

thread is old - new poster resurrected by asking if there is a VST editor - so. i don't think there is a software made just for the 303, but you can assign a MIDI map to control it via CC#.

I switched to me an MC-303 from an EPS16+ who just stood and littered.
I don't know why I got the EPS since the only thing I've liked from Ensoniq is the ESQ1.

I never touched a MC303, but what I know from over a decade of making electronic music, and even longer other types of art:
Limitations are good for you.
And also: there are no bad tools, there's just right and wrong ways to use them.

Hey, some of my favourite tunes to this day were done on a SID chip ;)

And, damn those old-timers who made their music with one preset only, what was that "piano" thing or something.

Not saying it's worth much necessarily, but give a talented musician one, and magic will shimmer out ;)
