OK, so i used the demo for about 30mns and yes, everything sounded "derpy burble" (good description) then... i RTFM and within 10 mns i had some very interesting results. it would have taken ages to figure out some of the controls and how they interact just by playing around with it. not sure that i'm going to purchase it as $70 does seem a bit steep.

i'm always more interested in FSU type effects than the usual stuff

I would think about this if I could add my own waves. The ones that are included are really pretty limited. A drop down for the waves would be good, too. It is a pain to cycle through.

Got it working on Win 10 64 bit so will enjoy this for a long time still :)

I almost agreed with this until I pulled it back out again today and wisely used the amount and wet mix knobs with quite low settings. Whoosh. You don't miss the water 'til the well's run dry, and for me, Linplug is my favorite developer...developered...late developer.

Relectro is a very nice tool to have in your box of tricks.

It doesn't have a super duper big flashy interface, but it does provide a good summing of multi-effects in one place if you know how to use it. It takes a bit of tweaking. The presets aren't bad and might be all the casual user needs. I'm pretty sure no one has explored its inner depths (at least I haven't anyway).

I got a Blue GUI version of it that someone put up and it's nicer than looking at the stark all White thing.

It's a great little unit. Can do some mad sounds. It's underappreciated like most of Linplug's stuff because let's face it, Peter was no master of marketing and hype - he just let the software speak for itself. But by the time all the fuss had died down over Albino et al, a new generation of VST had come in to play, and to be fair, yeah, it probably wasn't worth the bother.

But it stands on its own merits. It's a great piece of software. It can really transform source material in a deep and profound way. It doesn't get much better than this. I would never part with mine, that's for sure. And I only just tickled it. I've put it in that box marked 'Very Interesting', and I aim to explore it a lot more in the future, inshallah.

People not getting good results out of it are just not applying enough reverb.
