I finally got the email. One thing's for sure, the more this interface is reduced, the worse it looks to me. It's ridiculous in the email, where it's pretty small. I haven't looked at the actual plug-in yet, but when I go back to the full-size screenshot, it's not too bad, or not as bad. The same goes for looking at the full-size versions of the two tweaked GUI's. On my old surfin' Mac in Safari, KVR reduces the image sizes to not go out of the column bounds. I have to "open image in new window" to see it full-size.

Is it?antithesist wrote: This is obviously supposed to be a 4K channel.
With reverse engineereing NOT sanctioned or assisted by the original manufacturer, how accurate can it be? AND, do they aim for 100% accurate? They never said so...antithesist wrote:The thing is how accurately it's emulated
More like a very efficient way to waste talent and resources. What about some innovation, just for a change?antithesist wrote:It's sort of an Ouroboros.

@IK: no offense, I'm just being silly. Actually, if I didn't care about your stuff I wouldn't have written a program that spits out the animation frames

And it's so spot on!
No seriously... drop the colors, change the BG (maybe just the module sections only), leave the layout. Then it's a winner. Though I would prefer a vertical layout rather than a horizontal one. But either way is fine.
Except for the colors.

Someone had posted the UA SSL console as an example. Although in general I really like UA GUI's, they aren't perfect from a usability standpoint.

The freq rings on the two bands are a PITA to set. So, it looks great, but is hard to use. And, to Peter's point. I love that eq, so I use it all the time anyhow.
So, if you guys decide to go back and "fix" the UI. Make sure it is accessible. For the most part you guys have done a good job of that recently. ST2 has a lot of "can't find the magic spot to move this control" in it. AT3 has a few but not the things you would use regularly. But again, for the most part you guys are getting much better at balancing "look" and usability.

Is it an optical illusion or are those dials changing direction every now and then? I think it's an illusion - if so its cool.hibidy wrote:You guys are so talented!paterpeter wrote:No christmas tree, but cats:hibidy wrote:I like the xmas trees but needs cats........
