Help with simple DAW/Sampler routing issue...

My setup is rudimentary...I'm a n00b. So forgive.

I am using FL Studio and a Boss SP-505 w/ a Behringer UCA202 Audio Interface...

What I am trying to do is setup my SP-505 not so much as a sampler but as an outboard fx unit.

So it's UCA202 stereo out -> SP-505 stereo in - then - SP-505 stereo out -> UCA202 Stereo in

and I had my speakers plugged into the headphone monitor jack on the UCA202

So if I load a sample or vsti on any track in FL Studio, I get a terrible feedback loop.

I tried to route the mixer channel the sample/instrument was on to the sp-505 and set the samplers input to a send and disable the instruments mixer channel to the master. But that doesn't work either.

Is there any workaround...or is this an inherent issue with the interface?
