I'm only just beginning to use Auria (less than a week), but have already gotten less sleep because of it. :)

I've been using ReBirth and DM-1 for some drum tracks. I realized pretty quickly, using Audio Copy/Paste (ACP) and putting the drums on a single track is fairly limiting if you want complete control over your mix. I'd add some EQ and compression, but it effects the ENTIRE drum set, and I'm not able to get exactly what I want.

My plan was to turn on/off each drum part individually and ACP over to Auria.

The other day I realized DM-1 lets you export to Dropbox each individual drum part (WAV or AAC), which I can then import into Auria. So I tried it last night and placed all the individual parts on separate tracks and placed them into a subgroup. Now I can work on each drum part separately. This is fantastic! I did notice the CPU value took a jump after adding all of the tracks, but that is expected.

Thought I'd share this tip for those who may not know about it. ReBirth, unfortunately, does not have this feature.

In three days, you should be able to purchase Audiobus, and then use it with ReBirth to record each track. I'd be curious to know if everything is recorded through a single channel or if we are able to record everything at the same time with each part having its own audio channel... I had previously never given any thought to this before you posted, so now I'm really curious to find out what is possible... I suspect audiobus is only going to allow a single stereo channel though......

I realized I should have mentioned how to export the individual tracks in DM-1. On the Export screen, select Dropbox and move the little switch to "Separated Tracks". The app takes care of separating everything out for you. It did render and output files for tracks with no notes on it, though.

When it's released, the only DAW that has Audiobus is Multitrack DAW and I do not own that. Auria is working on Audiobus, but it does not yet have it implemented. So I can't test this out.

I am assuming it's a single stereo channel as well. But we'll see. Maybe in the future we can assign parts to different Audiobus channels. I think once Audiobus is out, people will be using it in all sorts of ways and finding new features they want.

You are correct. I forgot that Auria won't have Audiobus ready at launch. :-(

Yes. Big sad face. But the developers are working on it so I feel good about that. I am really enjoying Auria.
