T-RackS Custom Shop Released

I've scanned all 18+ pages of this thread and read the blurb with the shiny pictures on the IK page and I'm still not getting the 'upgrade' part. Sure, it's a stunning marketing upgrade for IK, repackaging and reselling the same stuff. But, if I already have Deluxe plus White/Black, where is the upgrade for $99 (assuming I qualify)? Is it:
A) White/Black updates with dubious distortion additions.
B) A new British channel of unknown emulation (is it Welsh, Geordie, Cornish, Posh?), with eye-catching-and-never-letting-go design.
C) In-VST purchases of future VSTs that offer in-VST purchases of other future in-VST purchasing plugins.
D) Uncertain constraints to re-sell my existing IK plugins.
E) The 'Quad' multiband processors I have zero interest in.
F) All of the above including Bonus installation failures with the 165+ megabyte 'shell'.
I just need to get clear in my less than astute marketing mind how this is an upgrade and then tackle the bigger question of how I would fit in with the enormous complexity of upgrade qualification.
For the moment, I won't ask where the 'custom' part of the Custom shop is beyond the new 'customized shopping experience'.

Does this have the RAM consumption like amplitube 3 now?

Has anyone been to a Rainbow gathering? Or Shakedown Street at a DEad show? It would be cool if IK embraced a bartering system where users could trade and sell plugins and even credits perhaps, make some useful social tools (not some ad-tie ins to Twitter for marketing sake, but something in-app to share patches within the custom shop, maybe host workshops and video tutorials. Give us value beyond a shopping center. I would push the educational aspects that are possible.
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

You mean far less? You did get that update, I hope. Also, the Custom Shop is the only component that is shared between them.monkeymanx wrote:Does this have the RAM consumption like amplitube 3 now?

Everything's cool memory-wise. Just a couple of MB for the first instance, almost nothing extra for additional instances.monkeymanx wrote:Does this have the RAM consumption like amplitube 3 now?

Thanks for that. Updated my in-stream poll with the addition. Still not seeing the upgrade 'value'.jsp1979 wrote:Well, you also get their 4 new multiband processors (the "Quad" ones).
So, it's a lot for $99, or so it seems.

5 new plugins, 2 others with the most-requested updates made... $99. Still not seeing that value? OK.mandolarian wrote:Thanks for that. Updated my in-stream poll with the addition. Edit - never mind. YMMV

It looks like the Pultec (Program 1A EQ) Oversampling delay compensation bug may have been fixed. Can someone else double check?

@Peter - do you know if there are any plans to increase the 48hrs demo time a bit? Like a week or two? I'd appreciate that a lot.

I don't know offhand if there are any plans for that. I will definitely let the powers-that-be know this has been requested though.paterpeter wrote:@Peter - do you know if there are any plans to increase the 48hrs demo time a bit? Like a week or two? I'd appreciate that a lot.

Hopefully IK can make up for it and make it so we can go all in for ST3 with those 300 gear credits.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:It was at the time, this was slightly delayed and had more than expected. Typically a good thing, though!Lode_Runner wrote:300 Credits isn't nearly enough to go all in.
