Yes. All T-RackS processors have "Singles" versions included.

To update the Black 76 and White 2A models, simply download and install T-RackS Custom Shop from your User Area and authorize it in the Authorization Manager with the provided serial number. Then open the Custom Shop application, switch to the T-RackS side of the Custom Shop, and hit "Restore My Gear" from the GEAR menu.

Upon doing that, the updated T-RackS Singles will be installed to your plugins folder. Just like the previous T-RackS Singles, these can be run independently of the T-RackS CS shell.

This is the same process for obtaining the 64-bit versions of CSR.

Thanks for making that clear Brian. I wasn't sure if the CS ones had singles versions as well (from the discussion skimming it seemed as though it all HAD to be run in the shell, which isn't a biggy for me per se, however, I do prefer to have the option of singles). That takes care of that, time to fire up T-R CS!

Steps:
Download and install T-racks CS. It will install the newest Custom Shop and the Authorization Manager. Authorize T-racks CS using the serial in your account.

To get the standalone .dll's for your gear:
1. Open the custom shop
2. Click on the T-racks near the top left.
3. Under the "Gear" link, click on "Restore My Gear."

The .dll's for the non-shell versions of your gear will be installed to the directory. so, you can use them in the shell or outside the shell.
Thanks a lot ! thats a comfort at least, I figure the shell is playing the
role of the old "authorisation manager", btw most plugs are not installed yet
but only registrated, with 5 keys left in user area on all, they are bought for a new DAW soon finished, so it will be like new instalations, the new CS
is in the user area like it should be. Extra HDD space doesnt matter to me

Do fine without the 5 new ones, ST3 for my sounds is a bigger concern
CS doesn't work in Windows XP.

Don't know why you quote me, I never brought in XP as a subject, my new
machine will be "7" ,.. but for those with XP, or XP slave-machines its
obviously a shame, but I guess we can't expect new things to support XP

I quote you reagarding the explanation below:

"To get the standalone .dll's for your gear:

3. Under the "Gear" link, click on Restore My Gear."

And regarding the Windows XP, the issue is only with the CS application and the "Restore My Gear" because all the plug-ins work OK inside the shell, and the shell itself works OK too. The problem is that we cannot have the singles by the "Restore My Gear" option.

The prices are not OK, although if you buy 80 creds pack, the singles's price has slightly lowered (79,99€ -> 63,99€ except the SSL).
Not even OK using the Credits which have been GIFTED to you during the group buy: NO, after buying 4x1, equalling a 75% discount there MUST be bundles available - WTF, IK, how can this be fair if I cannot buy with a 90% discount! No, wait, I want it FREE.

The installer size is also not OK - 165MB. Although it contains Deluxe (97MB), Black & White (35MB + 35MB), CSR and 5 new units. The Shell is not OK, of course, though has always been there for Standard and Deluxe users... OK, OK, now you must install it, but you also have the possiblity to use standalone plugins: you still have it on your HD, yes, but it's not a symphonic 30GB library. It barely makes any difference even on a small SSD (which I do have).

IK didn't break backwards compatibility, as you can have installed the 3.5.1 versions alongside the CS. It appears that the more they listen to customers, the more whine (on KVR, at least)
I would replace my signature with this if it would fit.

Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote:maschinelf, when I wrote my response, your question was one of the primary ones I was responding to. I didn't address you directly because it was meant for general info for anyone else as well.

The salient point I was making was that T-RackS Custom Shop is really an additional free software license that compliments and expands your existing licenses rather than superseding them.

We now sell new T-RackS Custom Shop based packages (Classic, Deluxe, and Grand) in place of the old T-RackS 3 packages. But these are just different ways of selling packages of T-RackS processor licenses. The T-RackS licenses you obtained are still valid in their original T-RackS 3 form, and are also honored in the updated T-RackS Custom Shop free of any upgrade charge.

Purchasing an upgrade package is necessary only to expand what you already have with the full T-RackS CS 16 processors (CSR isn't included.) However, you can purchase the T-RackS CS Grand Upgrade at the special upgrade price, and that will give you all new licenses for all 16 T-RackS CS processors. At that point your T-RackS processor licenses won't be dependent on your existing T-RackS 3 licenses.
But what about brand new processors, bought inside the Custom Shop. The Quad singles and the British deal.. can we resell those?

Wow I'm glad I waited then.I'm on WinXP. So I'll hold off on trying to install anything. As it stands I can't even access or spend my gear credits since my AT3 Custom Shop client is not up to date. Does the CS client update work in WinXP?

Sorry Brian, I think I missed your reply, most sincere apologies.

My question was precisely about what happens if I go for the $99 CS Grand upgrade, specifically regarding rules for resale considering my current T-rackS 3 Deluxe license is an nfr. You said in your reply that once I buy the CS Grand upgrade, I will have 16 completely new licenses. I would assume based on this that these "all-new" licenses should be transferrable, though it remains an assumption and Im looking for confirmation before diving in. I guess I will have to directly contact support about that, unless my question can be answered here or in a PM.

I have two questions:
For a new win7 install, if one buys the complete t-racks + b&w + all CS plugins, how much euros is that? I'm not sure if the prices i see are upgrades or new. Not interested in buying credits, just purchase all at once.

Secondly, can a new installment go both on OSX and Win7 working, or do you have to 'restore my gear" back and forth on both machines all the time?

Post

i have a small feature request - can modules that have oversampling/low latency options also have an option with low latency on monitoring and oversampling on render? SKnote's plugins have this, it's really helpful.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

I'll answer in reverse - you can use it on multiple machines just not simultaneously. You won't have to go through restoring gear more than once on both. It is just like installing on each, restoring, then going forward using it as you would normally.

For a completely new purchase, we have new and upgrade pricing set as in the first post. The upgrades are for those that had T-RackS Standard (now called Classic), Deluxe, Singles, or even CSR previously. The new pricing is for a complete install and there are the same levels of T-RackS Classic (was Standard), Deluxe, or Grand. Since you are not interested in using Gear Credits, you wouldn't want to purchase a version of T-RackS then the rest a la carte in Custom Shop. Seems like the best and most economical way to get them all is to purchase T-RackS Grand. More information at http://www.t-racks.com too

Thanks for letting us know. We also have an official IK forum at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/forum where over 38,000 users discuss feature requests and more.
