Post

Hello,
I'd like to share my first creation in the VST world.
It's meant to be an emulation of a famous EQ (sure you can guess...)
I just passed two weeks to check, tweak, compare, try and read forums and since I am totally unable to write (or even read) one line of code, this release is a kind of patchwork (see the credits). I just made my brain on fire to find some creative way to put this together and to fix common issues with EQ design (Nyquist freq warping, phase issues,...)
So I hope you'll enjoy this even if it's not that revolutionary ;-)

- No warped phase behaviour in the high range.(info)
- Double precision with a SNR of 125dB.

Hi, Madbee

This appears to be a pretty good EQ, and I appreciate the effort, but it does a very odd thing. Upon loading in a project, it automatically launches a browser page to your blog site. It also cumulatively adds more and more tabs for each time you launch the plug-in, so if you are launching it for the fifth time, it simultaneously opens five new tabs in Chrome linking to your website. This is really unprecedented. Deleting the internet link from the VST folder didn't stop this behavior.

I have no problem with a clickable link to your website on the plug-in itself, but automatically opening the website whenever the plug-in is launched is too much and I can't use it under those circumstances.

I'm not sure if any of this was intentional, or maybe it's behavior limited to my DAW or browser (I use Reaper and Chrome).

Thanks,
Dave

Cool. So far this EQ seems like really good work!

OK OK troll-man, can you explain a bit your point of view, what kind of tests did you make, etc...
and please, when you make a quote don't forget some important words (*QUITE* corrected curves...) I'm not saying that you get the real behaviour of a vintage EQ, but the Q is adjusted depending on the frequency to be NOT TO MUCH warped.
So when you say "don't mis-inform people", let's have a big laugh !!!

Classy!

Pointing out something makes me a troll? That's news to me. Also, I don't remember you writing "quite" as *QUITE* to draw attention to it.

Anyways.. Whatever suits you. It's a free plugin, so no harm done i guess.

Well, just to end up with that because i'm really not a violent guy normally.
Sorry to being a bit agressive
I'd just like to say to you that when you take a lot of time and energy to create something, when you make the choice of sharing it with people asking nothing (but just a bit of respect) in return and try to explain the concept of your work (in this case my first plugin so maybe I wasn't really clear in my explainations, I'm french too, which doesn't help), then you're really not prepared to see people saying that you're just a liar, without any explanation. I'm totally OK to receive comments (that's one of the reasons why I'm posting here). In fact, it's just a mater of HOW the things are said...
