Why is FL at 100% cpu, but my cpu gadget on my desktop reads my computer at 30%-40% or so cpu used?

... pain in ass, I use the "expanded memory" version too.

Is it because FL is 32bit but my computer is 64bit?... I'm guessing that's it.

i think it is because your processes are maxing out one of your cores. if you have a quad core and something uses 26% of the full CPU - then it will start to act as if you are using 101%.

No, that's not it, I can see all 4 cores on my cpu gadget, they're reading %30-%40 each, it looks like it's pretty evenly distributed.

Really?! Oh cool, I'll check it out when my net ticks over, I'm at dial-up speed at the mo'... so no solution though? just deal with it?
