Hi all,
A bit of advice please! I want some new music apps.
I love drum and bass and have been dabbling with Ableton on my mac but don't have the time (with a new born) to sit upstairs and produce so on my lunch breaks at work I use my ipad3 and iPhone 4.
I really like imaschine but it doesn't allow proper sequencing or midi editing. I've been looking around the App Store and there's so much it's mind boggling!
Ideally I'd like to start a track on my I device and carry on with it in Ableton.
I like the look of beatmaker 2 this might do the trick but now I've spotted audiobus and a load of compatible apps that look like they might do what I want.
So at the moment I like the look of beatmaker 2, audio bus, glitchbreaks, loopy, soundprism, funk box, jam up xt, nllog and loopy.
What do people think a good place is to start?
Thanks!

Hi Aboyes,
Looks like u know already! BM2 is great altho, it has a large library of sounds, that I personally don't use - its great with other apps having background audio, virtual MIDI and MIDI sync settings. Other Audiobus compatible apps include Sunrizer, rebirth, thumbjam & drumjam - I recommend all these apps (look them up on YouTube to see if they are for you).
Also, not currently AB compatible, but also highly recommended - Samplr (check Youtube), Alchemy mobile synth, Animoog, & all the Korg apps. All the best <3

Thanks for the reply!
Yeah I sort of decided. Do you know if its possible to export elements from BM2 into Ableton?
One thing I do find with Ableton and a lot of desktop DAWs is that I spend ages fiddling and looking for sounds I hardly ever finish anything.
I'm hoping with a different workflow through apps ill be more productive!!

Check out Beatmaker 2's forum. You'll get some answers to what it can do. I use Ableton on PC and BM 2 on ipad. I've imported almost 20GB of samples into BM 2 so it mirrors my PC sample library for the type of music I'm doing on the ipad. It has a built in ftp server so you can use an ftp client to transfer audio back and forth from your main DAW.
A few synths and sound makers I love - Sunrizer, Nlog, Magellan, Arctic Keys, Samplr, DM1, iPolysix, Alchemy
When they all jump on board Audiobus support, then look out.....it's gonna be great. Filtatron will actually get used a bunch then.
