Just wondering what people are using for drums? I have funkbox and ielectribe but find them a bit retro for my style of music.. Just looking for any recommendations?

My most used are DM1 and ReBirth. I have Molten so maybe I will check that out again. DM1 has a large variety of sets from vintage, to acoustic, to blips/bloops, to percussion and more. I have been using DM1 quite a bit recently, so it is my goto for drums right now.

Grabbed DM1.. Looks pretty good. It seems you can use your own samples too. Don't think I can change the quantise values for recording with the pads though... Oh well! Still can't believe it's free...

I've been planning a video on how I create drum tracks...I'm more into the realistic sounding kits in hard rock, but I've got a custom kit for just about anything. I use Beatmaker 2 with custom kits loaded into the pads, then connect to Drums XD by virtual midi (app to app) and have Drums XD controll the pads in BM2 while I play on a fully customizable kit in real time...it works great. All the notes are recorded on the track in BM2 and I can edit from there, quantize, slice, make loops...whatever. Very cool couple of apps. I might have video done by Monday as the 1st in a series of iOS music production tutorial vids I'm compiling. Anyhow, happy hunting!
Rock On!
