Just saw Reason's PX7.
Wondering if anyone had used it and can compare/contrast to FM8 or Operator or one of the Reaktor FMs (don't know everything that's out there). Looks like there's a lot that do some FM but only a hand full of true FM synths.

For something like FM is the GUI more important than the editing capabilities?
Any of them stand out to you?

You might want to look at Big Tick's Rhino.

PX7 seems to be modelled on a real Yamaha DX7.

There's also a modular FM synth. We call it Bazille. Very unique.

FM7/8 for sure... But maybe because of the massive collection of preset collections I have for them. I could use that synth with the Bear Naomh presets forever. Heaven.

I understand but that was just my lead in, PX7 got me thinking...

& does 'best' for you mean the GUI is easy to use or do the features get you better sounds... or $ or a combination or something else entirely?

Yeah, but that was my point, the discussion was already started earlier this week about that:
