I haven't personally been that much interested in this whole thing (the 3D GUI aspect seems totally like a gimmick that noone will really end up using). But anyway, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to perhaps be the first poster on this :D :

Saw a vid on this before. I was hoping they'd have a free version. It'd be a fun toy, if nothing else. 8)

Wow, cant believe there's not much excitement about this. Downloading now :D

I checked out the beta the other day, it has a few bugs but it's quite solid.

The 3D aspect actually works really well, definitely check it out. It's much more than just a cheap gimmick IMO, haven't had time to fully explore yet but it seems very natural to use.

Peace,
Andy.

+1

I totally agree. Very "fluid", and inspiring.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Also having d/l'ed just now. Seems surprisingly small with all this fancy graphics stuff me thinks (~ 2MB). Maybe a sign of good, tight coding ?
Whatever, looking forward to checking it out.

been messing with it for a few days.

went ahead and bought a beta license as i was able to create some interesting patches/sequences but kept losing them because i couldn't save.

had a few massive crashes (blue screen) but might be something on my end.

i think the developer has done a great job of making an inspiring environment to experiment in.

really hope its feasible for him to continue.

Very inspiring peace of kit. and once you start to find the sweetspot setting of different modules, it sounds really really good.

best 80 bucks i spent over the last year or so. :tu:

There really doesn't seem to be much excitement around this compared to what I thought I'd see. Got to put this on my wish list before it hits v1.0 so I can get it for the beta price.

It is too different/ difficult?

No tutorials?

Post

I intentionally did a silent release, because I wanted some bugfixing time before building a larger user-base. The current version is far more stable than it was in September.

Tutorials are coming up soon!

Post

if I still had a PC around, I'd pick this up ASAP.

hmmm... I gotta get my PC back up and running.

WOW..!

I love the video..!

Yeah this thing just LOOKS great, but I wish some of the tutorials would expand upon what it can do rather than just that same type of music each time.

The developer has made it clear that it will be most suitable for electronic music, that's what he makes, that's why he created this. Which is not to say that it can't be used creatively for other genres, of course.

I think it's a superb music creation tool. Just don't approach it like a conventional sequencer. It's like painting music, you ad things stroke by stroke and it's extremely gratifying.

"Unfortunately", I had my Windows laptop replaced with a Macbook Pro, so I now have to wait for the OSX release to continue using it.
My other host is Bruce Forsyth
