What kills me about bm2 is that you have to name/save every sample you record or paste.topaz wrote:http://akaiprompc.com/impc
And from the reviews so far, pass it by.
Beatmaker 2 seems to kill it,
Is it the same with impc ?

I wouldn't have thought an mpc had that many functions options?monsterism wrote:It takes the piss really that this garbage has anything to do with the mpc brand. Its nothing like a MPC, beatmaker 2 takes that crown.
Weirdly enough I like this little app quite a lot. Way way more than the JJOS MPC 2500 I have sitting on my desk here. Yes, compared with XXXX and YYYYY it's damn limited - but personally, that's what I like about it. It's very direct and I think it captures the directness of the original MPCs quite well. Hit record and play. No fiddling around in menus.topaz wrote:http://akaiprompc.com/impc

Makes me think - maybe the reason why I'm not using the real MPC anymore is because the JJOS is making the real MPC too damn complex? Maybe I should restore the old MPC OS and see what happens. Yeah - I'll do that.

Yes, 100% iMPC.iPlogger wrote:BMoore, I liked your example. Thanks. I'm deciding about this one. Was that all 100% done with iMPC? Does it have WAV import?
I've been playing with my MPC 2500 w/ JJOS XL 3.xx recently, so I got a kick out these comments. Other than the fact that I don't have mine set to load a default program, I'm not sure how much easier it could possibly be. Step one is to load some sounds, yes. But from there, it is very much press record and play!DrGonzo wrote:Weirdly enough I like this little app quite a lot. Way way more than the JJOS MPC 2500 I have sitting on my desk here. Because iMPC has a s**t load of great sounds, and BM2 does'nt?bafonso wrote:I have an mpc1k in order to feel real pads... and it's somewhat zen to navigate the whole thing and pace yourself while coming up with interesting stuff.
This iMPC, I don't see why I would ever get it having BM2... BM2's pretty immediate for me but still not perfect. It should have shortcut buttons for ADSR, etc.
I knew that if I would say that I don't dig the JJ OS it would be blasphemy in the extreme. If I would mention that over at MPC Forums they would pick up their Glocks and I would be looking like a swiss cheese before I finished my sentence.jjmcjj wrote:I've been playing with my MPC 2500 w/ JJOS XL 3.xx recently, so I got a kick out these comments.
