''PSP ClassicQ is inspired by various classic British-style equalizers. It captures the sound and flavor of famously musical high and low filters (such as those in early Neve EQs)''
''PSP ConsoleQ captures the sound character and functionality of various classic British console equalizers including flexible AMEK eqs''
''PSP McQ captures the sonic character and functionality of various classic console equalizers such as the versatile MCI console EQs''
PSP NobleQ is Pultec I believe?
PSP preQursor offers PSP's own uniquely designed filters...
PSP RetroQ is another PSP's own algo...judging by their description.
So, any of you guys tried these in a mix? Which one do you prefer and why?[/i]

I just confirmed this with the sQuad manual, and came up with this:
ClassicQ = Neve inspired design
ConsoleQ = Amek inspired design
McQ = MCI inspired design
PreQursor = their own design meant for clean EQ'ing
RetroQ = Vintage Warmer-style shelves with a similar midrange filter
NobleQ = Pultec inspired design
ClassicQ = Neve inspired design
ConsoleQ = Amek inspired design
McQ = MCI inspired design
PreQursor = their own design meant for clean EQ'ing
RetroQ = Vintage Warmer-style shelves with a similar midrange filter
NobleQ = Pultec inspired design

Interesting. It has very unique bell characteristic -- a single bell looks like two overlapping ones, I've seen such response in some Nebula Pultec capture. Can't remember which one.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: PreQursor = their own design meant for clean EQ'ing

yeah i guess i am a little bit of a trollNielzie wrote:Not only that, how does he know they all sound the same with same algo's for osc's, filters, etc? If all digital EQs sound the same use the one in your beloved Logic and stop trolling every single thread in view.![]()
though
i don't intentionally troll S-E plugin threads i wouldn't even bother saying anything if i knew its about a SE plugin
Don't mistake my signature for a Post reply
if its a S-E plugin it doesn't work on Mac. so how can i tell a plugin is a SE plugging if the only thing i have is a screenshot
im not gonna download everything and check if it was made with SE or C++ …asking is hence necessarry
and technically they're not even supposed to write threads about S-E in other sections other than "modular synthesis"
I actually did check out a lot of S-E stuff using a Pc and now i check stuff out using V-station.Not only that, how does he know they all sound the same with same algo's for osc's, filters, etc? Did he try and investigate them all.. on his Mac?! Shocked Laughing
i like innovation VS repetition,
S-E is kinda like Reaktor. In the user section you'll often find the same thing repeated over and over with fancy guis but all sounding the exact same making you waste time and HD space.
However sometimes there are really unique ones such as Razor in Reaktor
i did find a unique S-E plugin i tried, its called cromina nothing else in the huge S-E ocean does the same thing.
just mentioning its S-e doesn't take any effort so why not just shut me up by saying " S-E"
KVR's search engine has a option to identify them with a graphic and everything, so why not the same in the forum
