hey,
i am working on improving my bass setup. right now, my room has a lot of places where the bass is louder and i can feel it heavier, basically everywhere besides my seat in front of the monitors. is this right or slightly wrong? like how the bass that carries out into the rest of the house is not what i hear. i have tried lowering my monitors as low as the stands will go which is basically woofer cones at ear level while sitting 4 - 5 feet back forming a triangle to my head. unfortunately i am facing a corner of the room. my walls are treated with some pads and corner traps. where i am sitting - all bass seems clear and tight, but not rattling my bones.

i would be grateful for any input. i am thinking of replacing my old Radio Shack SW-10P 120 Watt 10" hi-fi with a studio sub, but i want to be sure i am not throwing away money on my room that may always have muddy bass... :help:

that looks lovely! it would be a big step in the right direction, but right now i am trying to weigh the money carefully - i have bills, bills, and further bills to consider. i would sooner save for my proper sub then after that my next computer. i will make a bookmark or something though - i like this more than the ARC software i have seem. thanks!
