In fact, there is similar, but harder question: do I need ValhallaVintageVerb if I have ValhallaRoom?

If you'd demoed VVV, you wouldn't be asking this question.trance_lucent wrote:rasmusklump wrote:Yes, because then you can uninstall CSR![]()

Seriously, they are very different.

Hey, Sean! I think you might remember me from my "drone?!?!!?" thread. Just demoed it and... I am totally going to purchase this.
I have no idea what we're all in store for next, but I am certain it will be amazing.

Yes, I am demoing it for 3 days. And more I toying it, the more I want it. My thoughts are: VRoom has more realistic sound, more "spacious", more "volumetric". This is good, especially if I want to place instrument to virtual space. But dry sound is connecting to its reverbered image in "realistic" way, here is the instrument and there is the room. And VVV offers another method of connecting dry sound and reverb: while it is less realistic and less volumetric than VR, the reverbered sound acts as instrument by itself, it prolongs instrument to the space. There is no gape between instrument and space, like in the VR ("instrument<->room"). Can't describe more precise.ariston wrote:If you'd demoed VVV, you wouldn't be asking this question.trance_lucent wrote:rasmusklump wrote:Yes, because then you can uninstall CSR![]()

Well, trying to formulate my muddled thoughts in this post the whole picture is getting clearer for me: yes, it is likely I need VVV.

I *think* I understand what you're trying to say. I've been inserting VVV into a couple of tracks, and I love how it embellishes the sound. It's very good at that, and VR is better at giving you a sense of space.trance_lucent wrote: Well, trying to formulate my muddled thoughts in this post the whole picture is getting clearer for me: yes, it is likely I need VVV.

Well, I don't know about you but I did need it immediately.trance_lucent wrote: In fact, there is similar, but harder question: do I need ValhallaVintageVerb if I have ValhallaRoom?
And to be honest, before I ever could be starting to think about spending countless hours to try to squeeze VRoom with downstream FXs towards a sound resembling vVv I shelled out the 50 bucks without any hesitation.
But now my version: Do I need Shimmer when I have ÜberMod, VRoom and vVv?
Cheers,

With respect to CSR:
I currently do have installation/running issues with the T-RackS/CSR-stuff. Buy day by day I becoming more confident that I never have to reinstall CSR again.
Cheers,
