The white one was REALLY REALLY funny before I tamed it a bit with a slight gradient. The neon 80s ended up being one of my favorites, once I finally removed anything that was actually around in the 1980s.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe I should check out IK fisher price edition SSl emu :hihi:
I would LOVE to have a GUI that is as colorful and easy to use as your average Fisher Price toy. Someday, someday...*stares wistfully off into the distance*

I only like the white one - how can I make it so that is all I see?

Only use the NOW color mode!

The GUI modes are visual indicators as to what sort of sonic coloration is going on, and aren't just decoration.
- The NOW mode GUI palette represents the "colorless" nature of the DSP in that mode.
- The 1970s mode indicates that the internal sampling rate has been lowered, similar to the hardware processors of the 1970s.
-The 1980s mode is designed to not look as horrible as most colors used in the 1980s would really look, and signifies that the sampling rate is higher, but things are still noisy.

hmm..well I think to make it fully authenitic the contrast should slowly fade on the 80s one a la the PPG LCD. Or like my Rev 7 it should be medium grey with dark grey writing.

Preferably you should only get to see one parameter at a time.

Very much enjoying the vintage verb in the meantime while awaiting those enhancements.

I should figure out some numbered list, and then have the "down" button increment to HIGHER numbers. Like in my PCM70.

I was using a few vintage Lexicons while dialing in the sound of VintageVerb. I now understand why people tended to leave these on a fixed preset. Man, the UIs for those boxes are HORRIBLE.

Yeah but is it possible to set the GUI just to that colour? It changes when you change a preset

No.

This is a very quick visual indicator of which color mode is being used, and is an important visual cue towards what things will sound like.

Sure I get that but I really don't need any visual cue other than the setting I can read, plus my ears. The white is just easier on the eyes to me.

At fading: That would be so cool!!!

Just bring the brightness/contrast on your display down a notch once a day or so. =)

I just realized that the horrible colored fake GUIs from earlier in this thread are skewing the Google image search. So, for the sake of posterity, the real color modes.

Or, do what I do: have your monitor covered with the fingerprints of inquisitive children!
