the correct answer here might be ... leave it, there really is no point in complaining ....

Who is complaining? Sounds to me like you are complaining about some evil grand scheme. I fail to see the relevance though.
The point is, audiobus could use a compatible free recording device that makes it usable right away.

well, maybe a small practice in patience then?Beatmaker and auria will follow VERY soon.I dont see the point for blame the audiobus people just because YOU cant use it from day one.And thats because Loopy isnt worth the price of a BicMac?Poor.

I bought it the day it was released but i still dont use it cause i have to wait until auria and beatmaker taking the bus.Although i could try it with multitrack.Even without MDAW i would have bought it right away because i wanted to support it.Its one of the best things ever happened to ios.

You still don't use it, but it's one of the best things that ever happened to ios......... Way to go the marketing people !!!

Blame?
Poor?

Seriously, passive-aggressive fanbois these days...

To the poster above: it's obviously more than hype, but i'm sure the hype was helpful in marketing terms.
Just knowing what audiobus can do and seeing how it works smoothly in reviews is enough to hold this app in high regard, imo.
That doesn't make my question wrong. I wasnt begging for a free loopy, but i think a basic recording app available to everyone (read: free) would be a good thing to include in the audiobus input list. Whoever makes that. As i said, time is probably going to take care of it.

Again, fanboi, please read posts more carefully.

The f**k are people complaining about?!
I have some, I think, valid questions and requests for both Audiobus and it's current recording apps.

But, I make music. Almost every day and every chance I have to sit down with my iPad. Both with Audiobus, and without.
So stfu and make music. Stop blaming the tools, and stop waiting for that one magic app to solve your music making incapacity.
It's been like this in the pc/mac sphere, and it's, not surprisingly, creeping it's way into the iOS sphere also.

Make valid and constructive requests. But if you can't make music either pre or post Audiobus, maybe you should find another hobby.

The ? read more as a suggestion, question. He didn't outright demand it.

Plus I think he does have a point, hooking customers with something they can use from the get go is only a good thing. It make them understand the application and entice them to spend more money on other apps with audiobus support. Heck you could release a lite version with limited tracks.

However, I think its a great idea.

Sound like this came as a surprise to people, that you needed a recording app to work with Audiobus.
There was very upfront info about compatible apps at launch, and much info about what apps are to follow.
Blaming devs for not giving away apps to "get people started" is just plain begging/nagging.

Steinberg have officially stated that Cubasis will soon support audiobus, that is what I am waiting for. I have audiobus, fun to play with a d learn but missing the big DAW apps to record in to, the update to cubasis will provide a really interesting tool to test this system out and build on...

To be fair (not to the whiners, but to other interested parties), the developers originally planned that Audiobus itself would be able to record.

uhm, yeah.Kinda stupid your answer, sorry.Would you disagree that audiobus is a real gamechanger?Seriously?
Everyone has a different workflow,i just have to wait a couple of days more until my favorite sequencer apps enter the ring.
But that doesnt mean i dont use it at all.i use it with audioshare and multitrack but it doesnt match my workflow so i dont do it
often. But i know it works so at least i know what i'm talking about. No marketing bla bla...

people who want to have everything and more for free just pisses me off...and we are still not talking about computersoftware
for a couple of hundred bucks.Geez...

And suddenly we have "whiners", too.
Yet more passive aggressive nonsense.
About the initial plans to make audiobus record, that makes sense, but i can respect that they went for the minimal route there.
It seems to do what the name suggests with a sense of minimalist beauty. Bus-ing audio.

But idk, make a free loopy with just 2 loops or something. Anything that's reasonably demonstrative of recording via audiobus and free.
Fanbois: it's not about my bigmac. Why do you fail to see the marketing side to it?

I paid good money for Multitrack DAW and Audiobus. I should get some synth apps for free, because otherwise, what would I be able to record into it??
See how stupid that sounds...?

Yeah- it's other people who are passive-agressive.

.
It sounds stupid because it's an extremely illegitimate attempt at reverse logic.
Audiobus is geared towards customers who have a lot of apps producing sound, yet cannot record them in unison inside their ipad.
It is not geared towards people who just have one DAW period.

Post

Now you are just rationalizing your whining by deciding who Audiobus is "geared towards".
