:help: Hello, I need help with setting up my new mixer. It is a radio shack 4-channel with effects Mixer. It has a USB port, that I have hooked up into my computer. Then I have my speakers are hooked up to my monitor(Monitor is hooked up via HDMI, so the sound goes to my monitor.) But I have a 6.5mm to 3.5mm Jack plugged into the "Phones" Plugin on the mixer. But my problem is that only the volume controls work, but barely, because if I have the Master slider all the way down, and all the channels turned down. I can still hear music, and also, I cannot edit the sound of the music coming in at all, none of the Channel(Left or Right) sliders work (60, 150,400,1K,2.4K,6K,15K).The crossfader, treble knob, bass knob, echo or EQ work either. Am I doing anything wrong? Hope you can help!

All help is appreciated!

Thanks!

Shandan.

ALSO, I am using a program called mixxx, and I think I have the setup wrong maybe. And then, I am trying to get my mixer to work with FL studio, but it uses ASIO4ALL, so I don't really know how to set it up on that, so if anyone can help me on any of these problems. I have a couple of screen shots, so if you want me to email those to you or whatever I will. Thanks in advance! I greatly appreciate it!

Hi and welcome. It's best to post just one thread on a given topic, to avoid confusion like getting duplicate answers by different people. I've deleted the thread in Hardware, but if you'd prefer I can move this one back to Hardware instead of Getting Started. Either place would be fine.

You can put screenshots, photos of your cabling, etc. into a post. Trim them to size using MS Paint or any graphics editor, then upload them to Imageshack or other hosting service. Put the URL for the full-sized image inside tags like this:

and when you make the post, your picture(s) will appear in place of the code you see above.
