Well i have omnisphere and its great for this. The issue is that it has very few basic, usable sounds like bass, leads etc.
I checked out Diva library and loved it. The arp is however too far away (4 months at least). I was looking at lush-101 but gui was bad and compared to diva the sounds was almost useless.

Can anyone help me out here? I really need something with an arp since it kills me to jump in to environment in Logic and set the arp up every time (i wont abandon Logic). Never really liked Trilian sounds, is kontakt with instruments the way to go? Any advice is welcome, i just dont want something over the top, already got that with omnisphere. Basic, well produced sounds, nice plug-in with an arp :P

Diva is supposed to be getting an arp.

I would like to recommend Predator. Great arp and tons of bread & butter sounds. If you can get to like the sound and filters (some don't).

Have you tried the Zebra2 demo? Howard's sounds are top notch and there are several standard (and not so standard) arps as well.

If you're willing to dig a bit there are a ton of good-quality arps in the free preset collections here:

Check out Podolski it's free, has a very flexible arp and is good at basic sounds and lot of stuff beyond that :)

If you can spend some money I highly recommend Zebra.

Tal UNO LX? You can't get any more "solid tone/basic features" than that.

Depends on how deep you want the arp. My favorite "built in arp" plugins would be Sylenth1 (getting a bit long in the tooth, but still kicking), Predator, Zebra, or Dune. Honestly though, I just picked up Xfer Records Cthulu and it's way stronger for getting some nice arp effects.

Sorry had to mention D16's Lush...Just because the synth sounds so good.

At the moment the GUI is very poor (as you mentioned). However, they are planning to make it better in the future, as far as I know. So, it might be one to watch for you.

Thanks for the replies. Cannot really find any of those as a good companion with Omnisphere without entering Omni's domain. Predator is the closest one but i remember not liking the arp with setting numbers/note. Too bad retro machines in Kontakt does not have a full ADSR. There are some nice sounds there. Perhaps there is time for some programing after all. But i really need to demo lush-101. Its the only one i have not tried yet. Or just learn to like to set-up the arp in Logic (if possible) and go for Diva.

I was sitting at the computer at the local music store and looked at some plug-ins. I noticed the jupiter from arturia which i completely forgot about. Could that be an option? Thing is i hear bad things about arturia but is that the accuracy of the emulated hardware or crapy products? I do not care that it wont sound as the jupiter but id like it to sound good. Also are there banks to buy? There wasn't that much presets.

Both step seq and arp

My fave for arps is U-he ACE it is now multi threaded, multi core so it is far easier to avoid CPU overload in your DAW. Great value too half the cost of most pro sounding synths.

Have to agree, this is really a good sounding synth. Full of capabilities and a great Apeg.

It is a CPU hog but the GUI is OK.
