Rhythm/jamming app similar to JamStix for iOS?

So I have downloaded about $100 worth of drumming and rhythm apps, but, so far, none seem to quite have what I'm looking for.
Really, I just want something with quality beats in various time signatures that will more or less adapt to my playing guitar or give me something solid to play guitar along with.
Anyone have any suggestions? I had heard that JamStix will release an iOS app sometime this year, but until then I'd like something solid.
Thanks.

Closest I know of would be DrumJam, which doesn't react to input in any way, so it really isn't very close at all...

Yes, I have Drum Jam and do enjoy it; however, it is severely lacking in conventional acoustic rock/country/alternative type kits. If they'd add some more conventional sounding kits then it would fit the bill perfectly, but until then it's not ideal.

Agree- its probably my favorite drum app on iPad, but I'd like it if there were more Rock/Blues "western" types of stuff in there.

I like Drum Beats + (http://www.ninebuzz.com/beatsplus/). Again, not like Jamstix in that it won't react to your playing, but there is a lot of variety there, IMHO, for $3.99, and it sounds good.

I have DrumBeats+ too. It, along with DrumJam, are my two faves. I was just hoping there was something better out there, but that simply may not be the case until DrumJam adds Blues/Rock/Country/Alternative beats or until JamStix comes out.

I don't have an answer for you but a question.
I have Jamstix VST and think it is the best at what it does. Ralph provides extremely great support and his forum is top notch. I have asked about an iOS app since I first acquired an iDevice. His response was that it is on the list of things to do but not at the top as there were other priorities.
I must have missed the announcement that an iOS app would be available this year. Could you point me to link where that was mentioned?
I'm not doubting you but only looking so forward to it.
And if he ever gets a chance to create JamBassist VST I hope it is only a short while before it makes it to iOS. That will be a great day indeed.

How many years has JamBass been in development? Been hearing about it way before the iPad even existed...

I just spoke with the devs at JamStix and they are going to be developing an iOS version. I'm on the beta testers list, so I'll give you guys what I'm allowed to when I can....this could be huge
