That's funny... cause it was listening to your tracks that got me to pick up my acoustic guitar and realize, once again, how much more expressive I find guitar over synths. Two years ago I was ready to make the move back to guitar and field recording, but I hesitated when I couldn't find an electric that felt right. I still haven't touched this guitar, should have it next week, but I think I know how it will feel and I think I'm going to love it.

@Kitty: DDDAAMMMNNN! That's a NICE bass!

Does anyone have any experience with G&L ASATs? I've been eyeing this one:

..I'm looking for a good blues/rock guitar to augment my FSR Strat.

Not like I *need* another guitar, but, you know, since I have no gf, no life, and can't drive I'd like a harem of guitars at home to keep me company... :hihi: :hihi:

dude, I built a killer baritone 2009 by getting a squire tele custom and scrapping everything except the body and pickguard...I ordered a sweet maple baritone tele neck from warmoth, used parts I had (but bought a few small things), duncan humbuckers I had and it cost me under 500 total...since I wired it stereo, added pre-amps and changed the pups to duncan p-rails. This is it before I changed the pups(the guitar in the background obviously)

happy to help :)
guitar + field recording + sampler have been my main soundsources for a long time. I haven't been able to get into software synths - I often like what others do but can't seem to get what I want with them.
My guitars are a 1986 G&L Skyhawk and a Jackson DK2S and a cheapest possible fretless ARIA bass that I had to glue the headstock back on :) Not playing much anymore - time limits plus arthritis

Too bad about the arthritis. I often get joint pain in my fingers, so I'm concerned that I may be headed in the same direction at some point.

I haven't had an electric since the mid 90s, when I sold my Strat and Tele. I've been getting my (less and less frequent) guitar fix from an Ovation acoustic since then. It does have the piezo saddle pickups, so I've been able to record it plugged in, but I've been craving a real electric now for a while.

My intention is to use mainly guitar, field recording, fx and my Octatrack, but I'm sure there will be synth involved as well.

Really enjoyed your tracks, btw, great stuff!
