Has anyone used this app? It seems like there is a Pro version that costs $14.99. The demo video looks very cool, however, I'm not sure an app like this is worth so much money.

Has anyone tried it and is it worth it?

This was made with an app called Arpeggionome Pro. Pretty cool. I used it to control the synth in Alchemy by way of virtual midi and pasted it into a track in Beatmaker 2 where I did the rest of the tracks. It's a nice tool for reworking sounds.

Worth every penny! I'm loving this app, works via virtual midi so far with every app I've tried too :)

Nice track Derek <3

Hey that's a really great track Derek! A little different than your normal stuff--I like your versatility. :-)

By the way everyone, how does this device compare with StepPolyArp? Similarities? Differences? Likes/Dislikes? Pros/cons, etc. etc?

I've been thinking about getting a nice arp, and these two devices seem to be competing with each other for arp king, so I'm definitely interested in some side-by-side critical comparisons. :-)

I haven't tried step poly arp....so I don't know for sure. I DO know that Arpeggionome Pro has great virtual midi connectivity. I used it to control synth sounds in Alchemy and recorded in Alchemy's app...then pasted into BM2. It has no recording capabilities of its own. I like it because of its grid interface where you can touch dots in the matrix to adjust pitch and rate of notes being played. Another great arp keyboard is Novation's LaunchKey...although no record, copy/paste or export functions. I was able to control with BM2 via MidiBridge but it was kind of sketchy.

StepPolyArp is polyphonic Arpeggionome isn't.

I think SPA may overall be the more powerful of the two if you delve deep into programming it but Arpeggionome is somehow just a lot more fun to play with. The non pro version without midi is still available in the App Store as a cheap way to experiment.

Purely personal but if I could only have one it would be Arpeggionome :)

Just did a test using Arpeggionome Pro to control Novation LaunchKey using MidiBridge....worked like a charm!!

Arpeggionome Pro is cool. Just make sure you are controlling an app that has it's own recorder and copy/paste or Audiobus support if you want to lay your tracks down somewhere.

I just had funkbox controlling Arpeggionome, set the clock out and the bass line out to (the notes change the presets so you have to program the presets)

Then this was driving nlog midi synth (the phone version)

Funkbox clock synced to LoopyHD as well.

And at the press of a button loopy recorded it all via audiobus, yay . Lol

So, did Moog end up letting us keep the 4 track recorder that came with version 2 of Animoog? I was under the impression that it was to be an in-app purchase, but I still have it on my system (not complaining, just curious ;-) ).

Not to stray from the topic but.... Animoog is my favorite synth on the iPad! :-) It is very expressive, easy to use, and yet DEEP in sound creation capabilities. :-)
