You're in for a surprise buddy :!:

The TSE stuff is all coded in C ++ and most of it is x64 now...

It's also seriously good stuff..

Their TSE808 v1.1 and 2.0 are my favourite sounding tubescreamers and their new RAT emulation is a nice gritty rodent..

I'm defintely not a metal player and even I like the X50...

I own most of the amp sims out there and my favourite is still ReValver..

I like to be able to drop my own VST's in the racks and build what I want..

Also being able to tweak every parameter at component level is pure genius :)

The only other one I really use is Scuffham..

Guitar Rig is interesting, but it always sounds like there's a blanket over the tweeters and Amplitube just doesn't have the 3 dimensional soundstage that I'm listening for...

The TSE offerings are for anyone who want top quality stuff for beer money

The website has been a little unstable for some parts of the world lately, I don't know what's wrong and there's no messages from my domainhost about instabilities..

I just released version 1.0.2 of X50 and it can be downloaded here for a little while.. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1369729/plugin ... ST_WIN.zip

Green channel hasn't got the same attention as the red channel yet, that one will be improved later ;)

I knew A was Amplitube! Well not really but it's the one I thought sounded best and the one I think sounds best when I do tests. I never went back to listen to E but I do remember passing on Vandal because I did think it was OK, but not special enough to unseat Amplitube. Interesting to hear other people's opinions though. No accounting for taste I guess.

Not counting E, which again I didn't listen to, I thought all but A was not really good enough to use. I'll stand by my findings that Scufflaw and Amplitube still reign supreme in software guitar amp modeling. If you want the best though, check out the examples here:

Wow, that is cool!
Actually I use it a lot, but mostly on bass.

I'm glad I passed the blind test. LePou are my favorite amp sims. :)

I'll have to demo Vandal. Not very natural, but polished and HD.

wooo, I am surprised by this result. Because my favourite was and is C, the old worn out SimulAnalog-VST. My order of preference was:

C, E, D, B, A!

@alteregoxxx: You conducted this blind test. Could you imagine to have chosen another sequence of favourites if you yourself did a blind test? Or is your valuation so undoubtly fix that you would have chosen this preference-sequence in any circumstance?

I'd suggest the HiAmp model from the AmpliTube Custom Shop for a dead-on Gilmourish tone.
