good day all.

I have been using logic since logic 5. To do drums, I have been using idrum for a couple of years.

I just got a new mac book pro, and when I go to open up my project files in logic, idrum lost all the information on the kits I made.

Now, when I load up logic idrum can find the kits I spend hours creating, it just loads the default idrum kit!!!

all the samples are in the same place. I know I cant be the only one who has upgraded to a new computer with logic and idrum

is there something in logic that can tell idrum where to find the kits? I just lost hours, if not years worth of work! please help!

Wow, I feel your pain but this is exactly what happened to me a couple years ago... and basically caused me to abandoned my beloved iDrum. I used iDrum for literally every Logic song for a couple years. When I upgraded Logic and reopened the songs, iDrum did not save any of the samples... After talking with the original owner of iDrum who sold it to Izotope, I discovered you have to save the samples in a song as "kits" in order to reload them later. And actually I'm not sure if that even worked, thinking back... You probably should contact Izotope anyway on the outside chance they could help. I lost a lot of stuff myself. Total bummer. :?

what a nightmare, but I have upgraded my friends system, on a whole new computer, and it didnt have these issues

there has to be a way to have idrum recall the samples... or maybe tell idrum where to look for it

Usually the song will save the instrument settings, but for some reason iDrum doesn't work that way in Logic. If my memory is correct, the iDrum samples have to be saved as a kit. Then of course you could just reload the kit, which saves the patterns as well...
