ddeez wrote:Hey this efffect looks great but there's one thing that would make me buy it in an instant and without it i cant really use it. I'm mainly a r&b and rap producer and those bach chorales arent the type of chords i need. Im not a great keyboard player so i couldnt teach it all the great rnb chords i want it to play. And theres not a lot of midi files on the inet of modern day rnb chord progressions. Whether it be from popular rnb songs or just in general (as far as i know). Does any1 have any suggestions on how to make this plugin great for the rnb producer?
I got notice of this in my inbox this morning:

The chord thing is cool, and I like the bundled chords. I'm going to also come up with my own chord presets :)

I am impressed...easy to use, very flexible, and does the "inspiring creativity" thing really well. I purchased Cthulhu for the chord module since I struggle with playing chords in a musical way but I am actually getting addicted to the arp module, it is just so fun to use. A great tool for a great price. And, keep in mind, this is coming from a traditional guitar/audio guy, you electronic types will be in heaven.

how well does it work with Studio one 2.5? Is the timing correct?

I'll test that out in the next couple of days.

I'm definitely getting more from the arp module from the chorder right now, I am not sure how to go about using all the included chords right away, I guess it is more useful for happy accidents than having a dictionary of chords to choose from. Anyhow I have EZKeys and its circle of fifths/drag and drop chords to do that with I guess. Any advice on how to approach using the included content would be welcome.

Also, are there some global presets? I only see the individual chords and arp presets, not a combination preset. It does seem there could be a lot more included arps too.

In the future, I'd love to see the arp expanded to 32 steps, with some sort of arp pattern sequencer to arrange the arps you build into larger themes. You could do crazy stuff with a string of small patterns :) Some sort of chord chooser for manually inputting chords would be great, again I think of EZKey's useful little tool.

I think there is only one global preset that I saw. You can save your own though through the file menu and load them. Its good for when you find a good combo of chords+arp

I really wish there were a way to tie notes in the arp :( Some global setting to disable the internal sounds would be nice too.

How do you route this in Studio One using a controller and VSTi's?

just untick the speaker symbol in the top left corner.

Ok then, to clarify: I'd like that setting persistent. I never intend to use it so would rather permanently disable it.

your on ableton now right? You could always make a rack preset that has everything defined that you like and just use that preset instead of opening the vst each time
