I'm mainly a r&b and rap producer and those bach chorales arent the type of chords i need. Im not a great keyboard player so i couldnt teach it all the great rnb chords i want it to play. And theres not a lot of midi files on the inet of modern day rnb chord progressions. Whether it be from popular rnb songs or just in general (as far as i know). Does any1 have any suggestions on how to make this plugin great for the rnb producer?
I got notice of this in my inbox this morning:

So how would i combine that product with cthulu effectively?

You could take the progression midi files from ezkeys and run them through the arp, and also use ezkeys to quickly get chords to use in chorder.

Just bought it today and am having that issue with "IAC BUS NOT FOUND!!". [Logic 9.1.8 here on osX 10.6.8.]
Both with the 1.0 version and the latest beta.

I did create an IAC Bus in the Audio-Midi Setup, didn't help though.
(I'm also having one called "Bus 1".)

Any hints? :)

did you connect the IAC bus to the 'target' instrument channel ?

Hi putte!! I was very happy to see your name in my inbox today :)
The IAC Bus in German has "IAC-Treiber" as the name.
My code looks for "IAC " with the space. I wasn't aware that some other languages use a "-" in the name.

So if you rename the "Driver Name" in /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup.app to "IAC Treiber" instead of "IAC-Treiber" it will find it.

I will fix that in the next AudioUnits build as well, to make life easier for all your future computers :)

It also had some crashing issues in at least s1v2, not sure if Steve posted up a fix for those yet or not. With Xfer stuff its always good to check the forums from time to time cause he will throw up the latest beta's in the product specific forums and the beta's usually have all sorts of new goodies and are stable
Does anyone know how to get the presets to show in the x64 version? I'm using Reaper4 64bit and while I can load the plug-in, it just doesn't show the presets.

Have you downloaded 1.01 beta 2? This fixes the preset issue.
You can get it over at the Xfer forum.

Regarding the chorder, I do think it is very cool how you can write in chords and see how notes that you add affect the chord voicing. So if you are looking to make something a 9th for instance, you can just add a note then move it around, trying different positions while hearing how it affects the arpeggiation.

The massively cool thing for me with this plugin is the smooth workflow. I could have done what this does with a couple other plugins, but they wouldn't work as well together or really give good 'feng shui' for quick adjustments when experimenting with progressions. It is a good marriage of related functionality :)

you're right. If you want to create a 4 part harmony chord progression, you can quickly see where all the bass, treble, and the two inbetween are. makes it quick and easy to adjust for the 'rules of harmony'.

How about adding a polyphonic option to the arp note grid, same as drawing in the key slots but allow multiple selections? This would give functionality similar to Catanya but with all of the other advantages of Cthulu. It would be incredible!

along with that, some sort of tie option. Either a row below the length selector or an alt+click option on the gate tab. Unless Im missing something I didnt see any way to do note ties
