Help with playback on USB Mixer

Hello - This is my first day, and first post on this community. I am hoping to gain a lot from the collective experience here!

My Gear: Behringer X1832USB
Drums: Yamaha DTX950
Cymbals: Zildjian Gen16
Drum AMP: Yamaha MS100DR
MP3's: iPad
DAW: Windows 7, 64bit, 6GB RAM, running Cubase AI 5, Behringer USB ASIO Driver
Stereo: Yamaha 5.1 receiver

Connections:
DTX950 -> Gen16 Controllers
Gen16 stereo out -> Drum Amp
Drum Amp out -> X1832USB
X1832USB -> PC via USB
iPad -> X1832USB using 1/8in to 1/4 splits
Headphones -> X1832USB
PC Soundcard out -> Stereo receiver

Problem:
I am able to record using this setup, but have been unsuccessful in hearing playback, either through the mixer (headphones), or the stereo receiver. I am admittedly a novice at recording music, and am just learning the lingo and the hardware/software involved. I would appreciate anyone's investment in helping me solve this problem. I would ideally like to playback through the mixer headphones... Thanks in advance.

Maybe you aren't routing the output correctly.

Speakers should be plugged in to the main outs on the back of the mixer and to route sound from your DAW you need to press the 2-TR/USB button and bring up the master faders.

For monitors you connect them to the CTRL OUT on the back then press the 2-TR/USB button and increase the volume using the PHONES/CTRL ROOM pot.

For headphones you need to connect them to the headphone output, press the 2-TR/USB button and increase the volume on the PHONES/CTRL ROOM pot.

You're welcome. Usually it's just a question of getting the routing correct on a mixer.

I meant to ask you, actually - the mixer can only support stereo out via usb. Are there any interfaces that would allow me to simultaneously record more than 2 channels on my PC? Cubase appears to be sophisticated enough to handle it - wondering what the right hardware config would look like to accomplish multi-channel recording... again, appreciate your opinion.

I'm assuming you're talking about sending the output from the mixer to more than one stereo channel? I don't think the mixer you have can do that, but there are plenty of interfaces that would allow you to do that (and you're right, most DAWs will allow you to do that - 2 channels is usually a limitation of the interface).

I don't know too much about any of the products on the market that might give you more than 2 output channels for recording. Maybe someone else can chime in with recommendations?
