Audio Deluxe prices

I've bought a few things through Audio Deluxe and they have been great so this is not meant to be a smash fest. Some of their pricing seems off though.

I saw Soundtoys Devil-Loc Deluxe on there the other day for $179. It's $129 direct from Soundtoys.

Camel Audio is priced at $349 with a $100 discount which brings it down to the price CA sell it for.

Sneaky tricks, honest mistakes, or MSRP is set by developers way above what they themselves charge?

if the price was right.

Actually all the toon track stuff I'm interested.

I beta'd and made beats for BFD 1 and 2, and beta's for Addictive drums, so I never got into TT stuff, but I've always been curious.

I'll stop hijacking the thread, but yeah, their stuff can sound fantastic. But sorry I don't have the piano

Well, a year or two ago I encountered the same problems with DontCrack and their prices for WaveArts stuff.
As it happened, WaveArts had dropped their prices significantly, so the formerly decent deals at DontCrack were suddenly way over that what WaveArts were asking directly.

So it might just be hiccups like some devs having a sale or lowered their pricing and no one at AD has noticed yet.

By the way, I just looked the Devil-Loc dlx up on AD, added it to my cart and it came to $125 ... not a major saving, but a better deal than from SoundToys directly.

Not the best though, because I got the free Devil-Loc when it was given out, so if I wanted it, the upgrade would be $89 only for me.
I only wish they'd finally make their stuff AU/x64 compatible, so I'd have a reason to use it.

Anyhow, the AD prices are usually OK.

They're also very friendly and agreeable people, so rather than starting a semi-rant here - just send them an eMail and ask them. Over time, they made some quite impressing deals possible for me.

Cheers,
Rob

First check if you're looking at TDM or Native plugs because on Audio Deluxe I saw the Devil-Loc at 129$, after that you must login to see the price they reallly offer. Sometimes it's a great discount and sometimes it's a little one...

Hm, you might also want to check at PluginDiscounts.
Available on iTunes, Amazon, etc.

Ah, that's a good point, you must log in to see their "real" price. Yeah, it's a ploy but they do offer about the best prices you could get.

I just logged in to my AudioDeluxe account and also checked the MVP price at PluginDiscounts. Hence my post.

I think the real price is freely available ("real" as in the normal retail price anybody can get). You log in to get a special member discount.

It doesn't worry me that they sell at great prices (like the TT gear). That's good for me and most people I'd think.

The Devil-Loc price was lowered after I questioned them about it. So they are good enough to correct a mistake.

There's no issue with changing prices on Alchemy. It's been $249 since release.
