One-Synth-Challenge 47: U-he Bazille - Voting and results

to make it more interesting we choose and here are my winners .

OK My top songs - I had some time on my hands. These are my top picks and favorite tracks this month. Great work to all those who are and who are not on the list. I hope we can all keep coming back each month for more.

5 - IrionDaRonin - BEC3 The last chance - I already said what I think about this song and now its only a matter of giving it the points.

4 - Evo2Slo - Closer to the sun - Its not easy making rock with soft synths. It is also my favorite genre. You can record nails in a blender coupled with some drums, a badass solo and a hooking melody and it will contain the perfect amount of trash to get my blood boiling. Sorry Evo, I got a boner for that guitar solo.

3 - Z.Prime - Beauty of the Electron - Damn you Z for doing what I cant. This track is textbook electro. Its got a great melody and the sounds are well organized, and random enough to make you wonder about what you just heard and to make you listen again.

2 - AdagioCM - A perfect moment - A song can be good it can be great and it can be personal. A sound that reminds you of a certain time in your life, it makes you nostalgic. Everyone has that song, when you hear it on the radio, in the car etc., it reminds you of that one time...... So, without sounding like too much of a fruit: this is that song for me. Great work.

1- E@rs - Move Fast - Yes I am. At least while listening to this track. I didn't know a DAW supports 9356 bpm rates. Love the percussion and the lead, the bass line sounds like a meat grinder. A lot of awesome in one song. All that's missing is neons, strobe-lights and ecstasy. <------Ok thats a little too far

Continuing with my favorites:

Yeager - Who gives a clap - This song contains my favorite introduction this month. It has an awesome hooking melody and the sound design is awesome.

PocVecem - Qspace - suspenseful from the start, but once the lead kicks in Im hooked every time. Coupled with great percussion line its easily one of the coolest songs I ever heard. I wish I could say more about it, but I really don't have time because I gotta go listen to it again.

Thrax - Dark Water - Also another song with great percussive line and a great bass line. It belongs as a theme of a movie or a video game.

Jasinski - Barricades - I can feel that kick and the bassline punching me in the chest when I turn up the sub. And after the first break it gets even better. Im gonna stop complimenting your sound design and mastering cuz its a given by now.

Bjulin - Infected - The progression in the first minute of this track is flawless. The stabs coupled with the drums really make this piece stand out.

Pedalsteeldrummer - Mind Meld - The perfect name for this track. When I listen to this song I can almost see Miles Davis through the cigarette smoke as he's improvising flawlessly. Great piece

Skyzone - Both songs - When I tested out bazille, placing crip moving pads into the song was not an option because I thought all this synth could do was emulate a chainsaw. Great work with the sounds

Teezdalien - Truffles - Great groove and sound design and there is enough variation in there to keep me interested. Because this song is in the top echelon with other sounds of this month, its forcing me to get extremely picky about choosing the winner.

Solidtrax - Do Not Forget Your Bazille for Lunch - very well mastered and very groovy. It seems solidtrax means business with this track. 6 minutes is not long enough.

Nerd Patrol - Double time - Obviously this song is excellent in terms of sound design and mastering but there is something else about it that really catches on. The first bit sounds like it should be on the radio in the top 40 the second bit after the transition is what we like to see in OSC, complexity and tooth grinding bass.

I expected that the Bazille challenge would result in a bunch of great tracks and deciding on my favorites would be hard...boy, was I right.

This is a very Vangelis sounding track, I love the dreamy synth textures.

Love your electro sounds and also the general madness of this piece. Great fun!

2 - z.prime - Beauty Of The Electron
Great sound design and great mix. There's a lot going on but it's clear not muddied up.

Loved the sounds and you really got my foot tappin'!

I had some fiddly work to do today, and the OSC entries provided excellent BGM. It was very close, and took a second listen of the top 10 to separate them, but here are my marks.

So congratulations to the others and sorry for my oblivious mind.

Although it is true that i think that any musician that continues working hard in music is itself a winner.
The same goes to any person who are working hard trying his dreams to come true.

I was listening some older tracks today from bed, and i can say that OSC is getting bigger and better each month.
Impressive how people comes time to time and evolves musically with better quality, better composition, better ideas, better chord progressions, better sound design...
I'm wondering if someday we should make an own label called OSCers or something No joke!

Thanks to musicians for coming with your music each month.
And V'ger for the hard work.
