I made a couple of Delay patches and some spooky FX for B2 today, here is a test track with Zebra and B2 using a diffused delay setting:

Very nice Simon!
I've been using B2 with Diva a lot myself. Dayyyuuuummm, Urs is a genius!
Zebra and Diva just sound fantastic together with B2!
It's a really special time to be making music. We are very spoiled with the tools and processing power we have today!

Thank's Andrew - I thought I was spoiled when I got my first ATARI 1040 back in the late 80s, and Midi, and FM synthesis, and my first Casio sampler which could do 4 Bit samples at a maximum of 1.5 seconds with a built in microphone - but now - amazing, just amazing!Galbanum wrote: It's a really special time to be making music. @Sampleconstruct Simon
Yes! Nice sound, So smooth and lush, very very nice sound. I'm happy with B2 as well. Great that there is delay available! the B2 is a really interesting with it's modular structure. it's reverb dual context delay, dynamics. I'm running B2 in combination with MFM 2 right now.
Make a preset bank and I'll be interested in it for sure!

That should be illegal/scheduled! Definitely way too habit forming... If you loose complete touch with reality, don't blame us!TwoToneshuzz wrote: I'm running B2 in combination with MFM 2 right now.

For now just download the B2 presets from the various FX page on patchpool, I'll add more soon.TwoToneshuzz wrote:Make a preset bank and I'll be interested in it for sure!

@Andrew
I'm afraid I have a long register of offences misusing and abusing B2 with all the usual suspects, B2 and MFM 2, B2 + Trash 2, B2 + Iris, B2+ Diva and B2+ Chromaphone Uhbik F. Under oath and regrettably Yes I admit to a growing list of audio Chain crimes after only a week or so of my B2 ownership/partnership in crime.
Reality is soooo, dull in Denmark in the Winter..

Oh yes! I've done that for Valhalla Room at some point.Sampleconstruct wrote:For now just download the B2 presets from the various FX page on patchpool, I'll add more soon.TwoToneshuzz wrote:Make a preset bank and I'll be interested in it for sure!

Now I wonder how much a donation should be for it to be worthwhile with the paypal method?

Forget the donation, Wade, you are such a strong supporter of my work I can only happily ask you to dl the stuff.

It's great for delays - here's one I just made:Sampleconstruct wrote:I made a couple of Delay patches and some spooky FX for B2 today, here is a test track with Zebra and B2 using a diffused delay setting:

Would be great if this had an lfo that could be assigned say to the eq to make it move (like the Filterscape EQ)

Demoing the B2 - nice reverb! Very geeky - it allows to construct your own reverb without messing with different "algorithm" things.
Just a pair of questions.
1. Is B2 doing randomizing reverberation without pitch-bluring like Aether, apart from usual modulation?
2. When I demoed Aether, I very liked the possibility to shape the envelope of tail using "Attack", "Sustain" and "Spread" controls. If I understand correctly, the only way to do similar things in B2 is to use cascade. At least, in my brief experiments I manage to achieve non-exponential shape using cascade only. If so, is there any tips how to emulate these controls in B2? I believe that the ERs are matter (Contour and Curve and may be other), but I want to clearer understand the principles of envelope shaping.

Thanks. Indeed it is proud to be on the geeky side of things. It will continue to evolve in this direction over it's life-span.trance_lucent wrote:Demoing the B2 - nice reverb! Very geeky - it allows to construct your own reverb without messing with different "algorithm" things.
...but preset availability and handling will continue to evolve as well, so not all users need to be preset design rocket scientists... Just like most NI-Massive users to do make their own Massive presets from scratch... We designed B2 like a complex synth.
Yes, B2 has a "behind the scenes" modulation that is always on even when "user/GUI" modulation is off... this does not effect pitch.trance_lucent wrote: Just a pair of questions.

Yes, your understanding is very accurate. If you want specific control over the attack envelope and contour of the "late energy" of the reverb, Aether offers more precise control via Attack/Sustain/Spread.trance_lucent wrote: 2. The way to do it with B2 is to use Cascade and Contour. If you want a very slow attack, you can cascade A into B at 100% and set Balance to 100%. Now A and B are completely in series. You can make A large, and use the Exp Contour setting with a negative value. Set density to max for both. Keep Contour at 0% for B. Look at the Tap display and set B size to medium size or so using a value that best gives a smooth distribution of delays? i.e. try to fill in the space as much as possible with the tap display... Like this:
which gives:
This is the preset I just made to show this:

Great questions!

And, indeed, users who don't want / haven't time to design own reverb, can consider B2 as general reverb with presets instead of "algorithm" selection and tweak only Time, Size, Damp and Eq. But may be (although no) separate preset system for "geometry" section would be handy for them (with presets similar to classic "algorithms" like Hall, Chamber, Room etc).
