I'm literally days away from buying v-control pro. Having looked through the short manual for Cubase IC pro this doesn't seem half as advanced as V-Control despite Steinberg's claims. So I think I will go with v-control regardless.

Interesting! I'm gonna pick this up for sure.

Will V-Control work with Cubase 7, though?

I've no idea. I'll be using it with 6.5 myself.

Ah. And V-Control = iPad only, so no dice for me. I'll be grabbing IC Pro.

It's great to see Steinberg making a dedicated controller app, I've been waiting and hoping for that for a long time.. But it just seems a little too basic. V-control has matured so much and especially the V-Window is amazing. I love to touch the EQ curves with my fingers, it's very intuitive, and also the amps in amplitube, just having that window up and controlling the amps and effects by hand while holding the guitar in the other feels much more natural and quicker than reaching for the mouse each time.

I just tried V-control with C7 yesterday and it seemed to do everything it should.

Really hope they keep evolving this though, and introduce something similar to the V-Window.

Yeah, this is pretty basic for $16.99 (mind you, that's a lot cheaper than $49.99), but I'm impressed so far. It's much more useful than Cubase IC, and I'm not expecting an iPhone remote to be ultra-responsive. But they should definitely look at the competition, funny they can come up with something better than the guys who make the DAW!

+ 1000

V-Control is amazing.
I hoped more like just this basic control in IC Pro

Steinberg just announced that an Android version of Cubase iC Pro will be released in Q2.

I have V-Control and have just purchased Cubase IC. I think the two products serve different purposes. V-Control is very good at mixing while Cubase IC is very good at giving you the controls you need when you are trying to record away from your computer. Since Steinberg has the CMC line of products, I don't think they were trying to replace them. I think it suceeds in the niche that it is trying to fill. I also like the fact that you can access any of you key commands. I may have just been me but V-Control never felt right when trying to use it during recording. I am glad to have the both of them.

Cubsse iC and iC Pro are different as well.
