Some tracks that bothers me

There's a little bit of commonality between these tracks. I am boggled by what scale that is being used here. Im not sure if its modal, or pentatonic but theyre really some nice sounding disco/funky house. I tried emulating this in Major or Minor and It wasnt falling into place. In fact if you go to beatport or traxsource, some of the tracks will tell u whether its major or minor but of course it wont tell u whether theyre penta or modal such as a dorian or myxolidian. I hope you guys can help and would appreciate any inputs. Thank you!

ShaneD is based on a Dm9 chord. The rest seems to be using the basic minor scales as well.

Bert thanks again. I was on a production ass months ago and the same guy said it was a 9th chord that goes out on those piano. I thought it was more of a scale variation than the harmonies alone. That rick astley though does it sound 9ths as well?
