Hey IK: Where's Audiobus support?

I've got Amplitube and Sampletank, and I'd love to spend more money on add-ins, but really without Audiobus, they're both limiting, bordering on useless, in the wake of Audiobus.
Come on guys. All the cool new toys are great (iRig HD, floorboard, etc.) but better functionality in the apps themselves are needed too.

Really? That's disappointing. Then it's time to move on to JamUpXT and other apps then. I'm done spending money on stuff that doesn't integrate we'll with other apps.iPlogger wrote:They have stated on their forums they don't plan on looking into Audiobus until there is at least a public SDK. I'm hoping for Audiobus in iGrand.

Yeah, if I was a guitarist I might do the same. At this point, I don't mind so much using audio copy for synth/drum apps as I can at least sequence things first and then do the copy. But I would love to have Audiobus with iGrand so I can send it through some EQ and effects in Auria while monitoring.

I've long given up on IK products. Too much of a corporate marketing theme going on. Musicians First? How about listening to what musicians actually want and not what you think they need.
Besides Jamup Pro sounds better than Amplitube anyway. And Sampletank is a joke for the money you spend on it.

We don't have any more news to report... at this time....

Actually, you're right; JamUp does sound great. Initially I didn't like it, but after using some of the Keith Merrow and Ola Englund presets, it's quite obvious there are great tones in there, it just requires a lot of tweaking.SFAudio2011 wrote:I've long given up on IK products. Still, I do really dig the Slash amps on Amplitube, and I do like Sampletank (that I've already paid $20 for, and was going to spend another $40 on if Audiobus support ever came.......)

Like Brian said, we do have the SDK, that post was corrected (by me) and we'll of course post news as we have it. We did have an AmpliTube update in motion before we had the SDK in-hand so don't think the sky is falling when you don't see it in the coming-soon 2.9 update.
And "corporate marketing theme" seems to further the myth that we're some huge monolithic company (hint: we're not). We innovate in mobile products, as we've innovated in desktop products and we'll continue to do both and we are unashamed of those facts and yes we'll market that skillfully and continue to innovate and provide what people obviously do want (based on things like iRig blazing new ground, AmpliTube being the first full end-to-end guitar rig - pun intended - and T-RackS being top quality for many years, etc). I apologize that I simply cannot apologize for those facts. Sad that you are no longer our customer, but you can't please everybody and I learned that marketing apparently affects the quality of plugins and audio products. Who knew??

You're about as innovating as McDonalds. With the same "quality".
It's all about quantity, and heavy marketing to the masses.

You are interested enough to comment here and in other threads, though. I mention specific innovations and stand by them. AmpliTube (all platforms) as well as T-RackS, etc are far far more than McDonald's quality AND innovative and iRig really broke the scene wide open and is indeed the original interface and great at what it does... and STOMP, HD, BlueBoard (who else does that?), continued the path that we blaze. Say what you want but quite frankly you are out of turn with your insinuation but entitled to your opinion. I apologize that we don't give you exactly what you want but we give many thousands of musicians what they need, and they are very happy with it. This includes professionals that are far above "McDonalds" level, as much as you dont' want to hear that.BMoore wrote:You're about as innovating as McDonalds. With the same "quality".

And again we aren't a huge company, so again I guess I should be expected to apologize that a bunch of dumb musicians like us can actually market to a bunch of smart musicians who really love our products. People like Ryo Okumoto (a fantastic keyboard player if you don't recognize the name look him up) stop by during industry shows (where there are tons of professional musicians as well as companies...) and say things like iRig KEYS is the best of the portable keyboards, and they've tried them all. Without being solicited to do so. I guess it isn't that hard to market something that people who are very talented tend to like quite a bit.
Edit - if there's something someone at IK has done to personally offend you in some way (I imagine there must be some issue of the sort to provoke the continued tr...err...posting) let me know and we'll see what we can do. I'll even throw in some fries with that. You'll be loving it. Oops.

I didn't mean this to turn into a shit slinging fest; I will indeed spend more dough on IK in the future. The point I wanted to make is that I won't be until they implement Audiobus (as many companies have).
I don't have any problem with their accessory line either; the Blueboard is cool, as is the HD.

Well, I'd like to supersize my Sampletank with new expansions and a large order of Audiobus.
That would be quite a nice happy meal actually. I'd even pay more than a dollar!

Me too. While I'd like Audiobus in Amplitube, it's less crucial since I have JamUpXT Pro as well, which sounds great. What I really want is Audiobus in Sampletank (which I already have), and when that happens I'll gladly pay the $40 to get everything in Sampletank.SFAudio2011 wrote:Well, I'd like to supersize my Sampletank with new expansions and a large order of Audiobus.
