Guys, does anyone have an idiot proof guide how to get this vst to work with the synth in Ableton? As whenever I make changes on the vst, the sound doesnt change at all :(

I've tried resetting the Venom, changing preferences in Ableton, unistalling Vysex, multiple restarts...etc. What am I doing wrong here?

:help:

That stand is a deal, the cheapo ones with the add-on attachments are just as expensive, and other similar styled Two Tier Stands are between £160 and £240. So ordered one as well last night - already shipped confirmation text today.

I'm usually shit hot at bargain hunts - but you beat me hands down here, I looked the other week. 8)

Just did a quick test early this morning plugging Venom into Camera Connection Kit on my ipad 2 and it immediately took over all audio and midi and transferred sound through USB flawlessly from the ipad. Venom is a class compliant interface and controller. This just turns out better and better as far as bargains go.

Oh no - here we go again

Top right hand corner of vst - have you assigned the green squares to 'venom synth in/out'

If you then get a message about 'midi port already in use' you need to disable Ableton from using it(Venom Synth) in your DAW midi settings.

Do not assign 'venom midi in/out', this is for external to Venom Hardware only.

Cool, now we have another "VenomED isn't working" member, let's now all get d-s-m running!

Another task!!!
Hope d-s-m won't have to go through all the stuff I had to! I'm afraid I can't help anything Ableton related. But I suppose the setup is the same for every DAW.

If the advice given doesn't work. Re-install the DAW! I'm serious, worked for me now didn't it :hihi:

I'm using Ableton. All my trials with it are right in the thread. Works fine now. Just have to go in Ableton preferences under midi settings and uncheck venom synth in and venom synth out as on. Leave them off, then under midi channel choose all inputs and channel 1 and it just works. Not in front of my DAW now, but I believe I might have had to pick an input on the output section. It's either leave as no input or pick channel 1. I'll check when I get home, but that will be in about 8 hours.

Look everyone - the red arrow strikes again, you have not assigned the green squares for venom synth out yet! :hihi:

Btw2. I can make a standalone version of this too if someone needs it :)
That would be excellent. I will only use the editor for creating ptaches so standalone is ideal :tu:

Ok I followed these instructions but I'm still getting the 'device in use' when i try to select venom synth out on the right green button? In ableton I've got venom synth in turned off and venom synth out turned on, and channel 1 selected on the midi track. The left green button is selected as venom synth in.

Folks, I have what's probably a pretty simple question that I hope someone will take a moment to answer.

After playing around with all of the Presets, I moved on to auditioning the Vintage Synth Pad Sonic Boost collection that I purchased, plus some things like the Rick Bonnin set that I got on venomsynth.com. Here's my question:

With the editor in Virtual Bank mode, I opened the Bonnin set, and found his 60 presets in C and Bank D now empty. I then did a File-Open for the Sonic Boost Bank 2, which is set to go to Bank D. The editor asked if I wanted to save changes to the Bonnin set, I said no, and the Sonic Boost Bank opened in D. But it also loaded the Sonic Boost Bank 1 material into Bank C. If I then try to open the Rick Bonnin set, it loads into C and D is now empty again.

Isn't it possible, for example, to load the Bonnin set into C and the Sonic Boost Bank 2 into D? Why are both C and D being loaded with every open action?
