I'm going to have a tech replace all the electronics in the RG a bit at a time.. I love the neck and the way the body feels, so there! A little p1mpage won't hurt. The Strat will slowly get all new pickups as well, and the bass will go in for a setup job in March. I'll get over my hatred of floating trems, at least for now.

To hell with all this faffing about! I just want to PPPLLLAAAYYYY!!! :band2:
I hit the wall with my old Kramer once, busted half the headstock right off of it :?

Ironically even though I don't like the "zero" system on "red", it doesn't have this issue. Apparently, the edge pros need a little "love" on the knife edges even if they are new. I just haven't done it yet. Chapstick helps some though
Re EVH
In the early years I believed he used an echoplex to create that divebomb sound.

Yeah I caught that thread. Really great guy. Just because it was coming down the pipe doesn't make his passing any easier to take.

Ya know I love MM necks. But that's about the only thing. Saw the super pickup system videos they have out and....it sounded like crap to me.

Saw one just today. Measured the thickness of its headstock. *checks photos* 15.66mm
Surely there must be consensus by now...

I won't get one. A), I don't like the crunchlab/liquifire combo. B) they are more than I'm willing to spend. C) I can't play :hihi:

Still want though! For some reason they are a pleasure to look at, especially this one:

Remember, it's WANT not "gonna get".... WAY out of my price range!

I still want that Caparison HT I posted a while back. Wish I could get that guitar with the finish of the Petrucci :hyper:

EDIT: That guitar would be at least 3500 and I'd have to order from EU. Forget that! The rich can have it.

Back to Ibanez............

Oh well, back to

Retail: $4,250.00 too much for ANY guitar that I would PLAY. Maybe if I had the extra cash and was looking for a collector's item I might, if I knew it would appreciate spend that much but that would never happen as that's not me.
