I second this. ...
That's really not true...
Of course every synth has a special sound because of the algorythms used but MuLabs MUX does a really good job of replacing Sylenth...

I created a Synth with the modular engine, which is included in the factory library, called SilenCio with a quite similar structure of Sylenth...

Sylenth and my SilenCio plays this 8 bars sequence...
Tell me, which one is Sylenth and which one is the copy:

If you want to replace the Sylenth sound and want to have a good support and regular updates for a reasonable price (49,- € Full modular Synth/Sampler/FX) there is your solution:

I was wondering about MUX lately, what do you think about it's raw sound quality and filter quality? These are the 2 most important things to me on a synth + CPU usage of course :hihi:

+1 for Synthmaster

Sounds very close indeed. I don't know how Sylenth sounds really, so i'm just going to say which sounds better to my ears, which is the 2nd one. Somehow sounds a bit richer, and more "raw", which is good in this case, especially hearable when you open the filter. :)

My guess is that the second one is Sylenth.

A great example of how it can sound for EDM

Synthmaster sounds great, but it's not as intuitive as Sylenth\ANA\Dune.

I'd say no.2 is sylenth1

And I'd say while with some sounds you can replace Sylenth1, overall no synth I've used is anything like it in terms of it's snappy and sharp quality.

To the OP, if you like Sylenth1, then just get Sylenth1. There is a reason you like it's sound so really there is no alternative. If you happen to like another synth's sound like z3ta or something just as much then that's fine, go for that one in stead, but it seems like your pretty hooked on Sylenth1.

It's not NFR if you buy it new, in my experience I've always ended up buying the thing I was "attracted" to even if I tried buying a bunch of replacements first, in the end I thought, there is no replacement, get what you like. End of story.

Yep, I tried that awhile back, brought home a TI thinking it would replace sounds in Sylenth,or the lack or need of it, nada, just go for sylenth it does what it does very well.

They sound quite different to me. Think the first one is Sylenth1. It has a more structured, organized sound, and the resonance is very specific.

Is Mux CPU efficient?
