I wish I still had the mock-ups for what it was supposed to look like with a multi-line graphic LCD. I can't imagine that I'm legally obligated to keep my mouth shut anymore. :hihi:

There were also plans for another synth, the S1-49 (Venom was the S0-49). There was talk at one point of Access doing dsp/firmware development.
Wow. Sounds cool. Wish they'd take it up again. Or finish Venoms few oddities :D

If they need help i'm available. There's always need for a Finnish engineer, right? 8)

None of the people who were involved in the project, work at M-Audio anymore. Most of us were laid-off in 2010.
I believe the Venom is E.O.L. now that M-Audio is part of InMusic. They just sold off the remaining stock.

Well, we all saved hundreds, I can deal with the current situation.

Most of us would have not purchased Venom had it not been so affordable.

So far its the deal of the year. :)

Indeed! And now that the VenomEd is out, it is also the STEAL of the year! :hihi:
(Note to self: buy the Ed before you buy anything else  )

That's it for me. Saw KVR thread, looked at Amazon price. Done deal. I didn't even know I needed a wicked little VA hardware synth with USB audio/midi interface bonus!

I purchased it a soon as I knew it was out just to get rid of the demo time limit. Why the delay?

At EUR 10 it's not like you need to save up for it... although I donated a bit more, seeing as the price seems ridiculously low. Even in it's current unfinished state it's great to be able to just load a project and have your patch settings there without having to faff about.

How's the audio interface in Venom?
I'm looking to get another interface and seeing the Venom can be had for £180 I thought it might be a good idea gettting a hardware synth as a bonus. :D

Oh,I was just away for a few days doing other stuff. Didn't have time to visit KVR. I'll have to wait until next weekend with the purchase. Busy as hell and when I finally sit down I'm just so damn tired

I need to focus on the Ed when getting it. It deserves so, If I get it now it will set on my computer without being used for a week anyway :(
It will happen!!!

I have tried it briefly thru the same monitors I normally run my Tascam FW interface thru and it sounded just fine. that was definitely a feature that made this a steal for me. :)

I didn't expect anything from it when i bought the synth. But it's been totally surprisingly awesome. I run 256 sample latency on an old Core2Solo laptop and the sound quality is great! It's very handy to have a soundcard, midikeyboard and a synth easily in one package to carry around.

Thanks.
Pretty tempting, although I'd have to see how much spare cash is left once I finished building my new PC.
256 samples is great. I wasn't expecting that from a synth.

That's what I thought too - I'm playing with a band where the practice room doesn't have a mixer or computer at all, so I was also intrigued by the possibility of being able to use the Venom as an audio interface to do some rough recordings on my ancient laptop, as well as using the synth for jamming purposes. I haven't got around to using it this way though as we haven't practiced for a few weeks.

I didnt know it was an audio interface too

Hey, thanks. For those who are curious, Justin Sullivan is me. :)
I wasn't aware that Niels (my current employer) had done so many patches.
heh, I used your Feedback patch in my first Venom song. 8)
