Hey guys,
Does anyone know of any good deep house/ nu disco tutorial or instructional videos/pages?

ive done all the sonic academy ones and quite frankly i reckon theyre pretty shitty and the point blank ones are just to expensive, so any help on any others will be much appreciated!

Thanks!! :)

In fact, I've never seen one. Would love to see if some are out there.

Makes me want to make some myself, 'cept that I think my artistic ability in that genre isn't up to what I want it to be, yet.

...Maybe eventually.

But what sort of info are you looking for anyways? Is it technical in nature, like sound design or mixing, or more about the arrangements, the melody compositions, etc? Or perhaps something in between, like rhythm programming?

Post

yeah id say more on the side of arrangements, melody compositions and definitely some sound design aswell.

Hopefully someone out there has some info!

Hi -- please don't post duplicate threads. Instead, send a PM to a moderator and we can move the thread to a different forum. It's no bother to move a thread, or to leave a "shadow" thread in the first forum that points to the new one. Good luck with the tutorials.

damn, you still cant do it after the sonic academy tuts, ive never used them but i heard that they help a shit ton, i was abt to sign up lol, but i like this video on the nu house stuff, , and i dont make this type of ish, altho i love listening to it, j paul getto is one of my fav artists out, but i always figured if you get that filtering techinique down, teh rest is really just using ur ears and what you like in other people songs and putting them in yours, at least to start. good luck!

This is one of the members of Televisor, he's explaining how he makes Nu-Disco and writes melodies.

Try to do the chords first, then add the bass over it. Make sure it sounds nice together. Keep the drums natural.
