I did some checking around. There's a guy on gearslutz who was able to use the coupon and did get a copy of VTM for $49.
@cyphersuit: the subject of the coupon e-mail is "Virtual Tape Machine Coupon" and was sent from "orders@slatedigital.com"

Oh, cool! I also received my coupon a long time ago. I made extra sure not to lose my coupon code and even printed it out and saved it in a couple places. Maybe you can tell me... When I enter in the coupon code nothing happens and the price remains at $99, even at what seems like the very last step. So I didn't finalize the purchase and removed the item out of my cart and cancelled. When you were purchasing did the final price actually show as dropping down to $49 before you finished your purchase? Just wondering whether I should have taken a $50 leap of faith!
Initially I thought, okay the code won't work for this, I'm probably being too greedy! (and too poor!!!) But then I found your post on Gearslutz.

I entered the coupon code, clicked "recalculate" (the price became $49 at that point) and finally "Check Out Now"Sequent wrote:Oh, cool! Maybe you can tell me... Hope that helps

I'm in the same boat. Website won't recognized the link from the email. I guess I should have redeemed it when I got it, but I was waiting until I needed to use it. I sent a ticket in about it, but we'll see what they say.

If it's unexpiring and not working you should shoot them an email. I'm sure they can sort you out...cyphersuit wrote:i have an unexpiring coupon, but the website won't give it to me. oh well. no sale.

I'm guessing the special coupon for VCC users does not work for the special sale for VCC uers. Which was my first thought until ZINO said that he had a coupon that worked.
@ ZINO did you have the unexpiring (but not really) coupon that the rest of us had or some other sort of coupon?
If the coupon doesn't work I can understand that. After all, it's Slate Digital not Slate Digital Soup Kitchen!
If anyone finds out, will you please post? Don't forget: the sale ends tomorrow evening!

Yep. My coupon was the usual non expiring VTM coupon for the users of one of their other products. My opinion is that they blocked the other coupons since I posted in the forums that I used it to get VTM for $49 in conjuction with their latest offer. They obviously didn't want to go that low but they also f**ked it up at the same time because now they'll have people bitching about it.Sequent wrote:I'm guessing the special coupon for VCC users does not work for the special sale for VCC uers. EDIT: Slate just wrote in gearslutz that:
"Also, vouchers do not work on special promotions, but I think the current offer is pretty amazing for a plugin that has literally changed the way that I mix ITB!"

Okay, thanks ZINO! I'm glad you got the discount before they realized their mistake. Sometimes it pays not to wait too long!!!
But as I said, it isn't Slate Digital Soup Kitchen, so I completely understand what Steven wrote. As it is, the price this weekend is much much better than even the best prices that I've seen so far. So no worries on this end! Cheers.
