Is there any change to the OSX VST version to the beta you posted the other day?

(Just wondering if there's any need to re-download as I'm not needing the AU).

Yes there are some fixes...

I have another one (build 164) already which fixes this too:
1) OSX: Text entry boxes do not close automatically when clicking outside the control area. To close simply press enter.
...working on a few things first then I'll post it...

Thanks...

Well we care about making things as efficient as possible of course, but we do enjoy pushing the bounds of what is possible with the latest hardware... The ideal is to give options like B2 does and allow users to decide what compromises they would like to make. And sometimes "compromises" does not mean the less desirable sound aesthetically... Tracks/songs and even instruments may sound great without oversampling, others might sound better with it etc.

..but ya, I am eager to see what is possible with Ivy Bridge Xeons that should come out this summer.
33tetragammon wrote: Andrew, about that new plugin.......any hints about what it is? Is it an FX or is it an instrument?
I'm still trying to figure that out myself. :D

Don't know... you're an Aether customer right? You should have received at least a couple messages about this...

It's probably the same issue that happened after the Aether update - ID mismatch, so something is wrong with the auth.prop file...

EDIT: After setting permissions to "read&write" to "everyone" instead of only myself for the main "B2" folder in Application support I could re-enter the serial and it now works. Strange...

Maybe it was releated to:
1) OSX: Text entry boxes do not close automatically when clicking outside the control area. To close simply press enter.
?

If it was indeed permissions related, this should not happen with final the installer, b.c we reset permissions with the installer to try to avoid these kind of things...

On the Website when trying to "buy" the update using the code, I could not understand why I was stuck on the second step of the process after applying the rebate code, but found out that I had to check the box next to the earned points from previous purchases. I had $20 from my B2 purchase, but thinking I didn't need to check anything here I wrongly left it unchecked. This needs to be checked.

This should not be true. You do NOT need to use Reward Points for the update. You just enter the coupon code "B2_Update" and this makes the price $0.0 is you qualify by having previously ordered B2.

Sampleconstruct wrote:Don't create Subfolders within the User folder, just add a folder to the Preets/Full - folder, that will show in the Browser.

Yes, subfolders in User are/were not supported in 1.0.0.

We are hoping to change that now and will prob do it this week now that you guys at least have a beta to use in 64=bit OSX hosts.

Our goal is to allow Sub-folders in the User folder and effectively add another level of preset organization called "packages or similar... So various packages might be:

Factory Dual
Factory Single
Factory FX
User
Expansion Pack 1
Expansion Pack 2
etc...

All of these can then have one level of subfolders.

This way we don't have to merge Preset Expansions into existing folders like we did previously for Aether...

Cool... I'll hold off updating until 164 is ready.

Thanks Andrew.

I previously only used the Windows version of The Perfect Storm bundle, but I just bought a MacBook Air and I'm trying to download the Mac version using the coupon code. I get the following message after redeeming the coupon code:

"The coupon has been successfully applied for . HOWEVER No reducion available please see the coupon restrictions"

I don't see the restriction anywhere. The only download available to me in my account is for the Windows version. How do I get the Mac version?

You may be using the wrong order page?

For the most recent official releases you can follow the instructions here, and you can use these steps to add/change OS options:

http://2caudio.com/support/updates#b2

The beta that is being discussed here is a different order page than this.

No, that took me to the same Shop page that I was at before. I can download the Windows version of the Perfect Storm bundle from my account in the shop, and the discount coupon code is listed there as well, but when I try to add a Mac version of the Perfect Storm bundle, I still get the same error message when I try to redeem the code.

On the authorization I was also having difficulty, Called up my original invoice from when I bought B2, then pressing the Gui enter button, manually inputting the code, not copy paste. The xxxx code in the panes turns into an input field after double clicking, no need to delete the xxxx, just start to type. pressing "return" on completion of each 4-6 digit step of the series.
Then after completion I more times than I'd care to admit tried pressing the Gui enter button it does nothing so don't press it . I then tried keeping all the letters uppercase, finally I understood that the inputted serial numbers get accepted a few moments after pressing the enter key for the last time. Once accepted, B2 is authorized and ready to take off!

Ok I had the update and even bothered to email support regarding this problem as I was having no sound but assumed it was related osx / cubase version or to the unloading/ relaoding the pluggin. I was away for a couple days and just got back today and after reading the above post  then realized that my serial number hadn't taken - this solved my vst 64 bit issue.

Hi Andrew, when will us windows VST guys get support for mouse wheel?

I thought it may be in the 1.1.0 windows beta, but it doesn't work here, so I assume this was only added to the new mac versions.

Also, just wanted to ask if there is a place on the GUI that states the current version number, I couldn't find it. Want to be sure I'm actually running the latest version.

Cheers...

If you have the Perfect Storm on Win and you need it on Mac OSX, you need to order the updates for Aether, Breeze, and B2 separately from here:

It should be there already. What host? It works in Cubase as far as we see. Sometimes specific hosts intercept mouse-wheel and keyboard commands and it gets tricky to get control of them in ways that don't aggravate the host.

This was exactly what i had to do to.. otherwise as the OP stated, nothing would happen and the process would not proceed to the next page...
