My favorite apps in this order-
Sunvox-
modular daw that have interchangable file format-
you can work on a song or whatever then open it up in another system- the pc/linux/mac version being for free!!!
and it sounds good check out the videos by nightradio.
Its actually now my favorite music making daw on PC as well.
Caustic-
Like a scaled down Daw but - synthesizer basic but sounds good- also have sampler and drum machine.
Supreme mpa-
its a really well thought MPC type of app but being far ahead of the simpler beat making apps!
G-stomper-
A pretty advanced drum machine app with a lot of options to control effects etc in real time,
havent used too much but it also have the possibilities to build up melodies , but is really made for making beats!
Reactable-
It works good and sounds good but could never get into the workflow...
Nanoloop-
Ahhh this one is reaaalllly cool, works on almost any phone,
its an old gameboy music making app that found its way into android,
has a coool old school bit sound to the synthesizer,
sequencer, basic sampler and a lot of people use it for mostly in the gameboy version for the funky bit sound.
Then there is a couple of synths most of them not sounding to good but a couple of them I like, but these ones are good for specific sounds but have their uses.
eerie synth
spectrum gen
pixel wave
droiditar- have really one sound based o string instrument but sounds really good and expressive but the idea is that you hook it up to guitar effects etc and so expand your arsenal of sound just like a guitar for example-
really like it...
i also would recommend three free ones
synprezfm- plays dx7 sounds so you can get a lot of different sounds out of it.
commion fm synth- a programmable fm synth
plasma sound- a theremin style application
opus #1 free- organ sounds havent tried the paid one because its priced too high for me.
-and finally some other interesting experimental sound generators-
nodebeat
spheretones
soundbow
kosm
droidbeat
audiospeeder
well there is a lot more but these are the ones that caught my attention.
and highly recommend sunvox, most people go for caustic,
but sunvox is so much more deeper and have some relly interesting functions-
for example one thing that is worth the whole app is the theremin style pad you can open up inside sunvox and use to play samples and they dont glitch and you can use it for live playing or live recording...
to be honest caustic is really nice to...
ok-
Depending on your phone, all of these works on a intermediate phones-
and if you have a phone thats not too strong there is always nanoloop!
Easy and out!

Hi crazed one,
Thanks for you post.
The best place to start is http://www.androidmusician.com I think.
Here is what I have on my machine:
Synths - Sequencer, Mikrowave, Rolling Tones, Shape Synths, SynprezFM
Effects - SpectrumGen, SoundForm
Samplers - Supreme MPA, G-stomper, nano loop, Groove Mixer
Recorders - Hi-Q MP3 Recorder, LoopStack
Misc - Hexiano, AndRaita, Audio Evolution Mobile, Producer Tools
And finally Toys (all except the last which I made) - Crazy Pad Fixed, Drums and Stabs Fixed, Looper Fixed, Sequencer Fixed, Eight Track, DJ Pad
Thanks. God bless.
