camera kit for iphone 4s

Can anyone tell me if I need the official camera kit or can I buy a knock off?. If so is there a place in the uk where, checked ebay and there's so many.

Depends what you're trying to do.
Line6 midi mobilizer2, irig midi would work for midi.
Tascam iu2 will work for audio and midi.
Amongst others.
For transferring photos dare I say I tunes ?

I think there's an app for jail broken phones that would let you do that with the camera connection kit

Like others said, you need a "proper" Audio interface (i.e 30-Pin/Lighting connection) for your iPhone to work with Core Audio/Core Midi.monsterism wrote:Cheers was hoping to get something I can plug in and start playing keys
The CCK won't work for that (Don't quote me on this, but I think it's because power drawing for the external device).
The cydia tweak (jailbroken only) that promised the most is iConnectionKit, but sadly it has been on stand-by for ages.
There are other tweaks that apparently work but I tried a couple of them last year and no joy.
And by the way, I'd recommend you to stay away from knock-off chinese CCKs. Specially if you ever intend to use the CCK as more than, well, a camera connection accessory, because only the real deal seems to work fine (I know, expensive and all but it's totally reliable). I know you won't have a use for the CCK with the iPhone now, but in case you buy an iPad in the future, you could regret buying a knock-off CCK.
