Damn, my last choice was mentioned two times including my vote so based on those hints i guess it's wrong but based on the rules for the second winner maybe not...

Was my first choice. Would be nice if it is true but it seems to miss e.g. a Reverb and a Ping pong Delay.Master Ovnun wrote:Synthix.

But its not. Synthix has no reverb on board. The only Xils-Lab synth that has a reverb on board is the fully modular Xils 3 spaceship. And its a spring reverb. ( that you can modulate in all ways btw)Ingonator wrote:Was my first choice. Would be nice if it is true but it seems to miss e.g. a Reverb and a Ping pong Delay.Master Ovnun wrote:Synthix.

The reverb at the end of the clip I just posted doesn't sound like a spring reverb, so this is not the mighty Xils3 either. As a conclusion, its not Oxium, nor PolyKBII, nor Synthix, nor Xils 3. So its not a Xils-Lab synthesizer.
Btw you can hear all the miniclips in the first post of this thread.
Clues however, are disseminated in all pages, sorry for that, but for those who want to play the detectives, there's a lot to find, and maximise your chances to win
Good luck to all

I guess there are several reasons why it could not be a Xils synth but that was not really clear at the time when i made my first guess...

Hmmmm the list is not complete Ingo, I know its made to help, but at the same time its dangerous, because if this synth doesnt belong to your list it can trick people.Ingonator wrote:Just checked which synth were only mentioned once yet and which were not directly excluded by Lotuzia yet:
ImpoOSCar 2, Surge, Helix, Bkue, Spire, Discovery Pro, Gammy-Ray, Predator, CRX4, Sonic Academy ANA, Harmor
Ingo
For example ElektraX is not in your list, but I dont think I've excluded it yet.
To IDRonin : For the CPU mark thing, yes I did not have to freeze ANY track to do my demos, on my old Quad 9650, but this clue is, admitedly
All the instruments in my soundbank are highly optimised, and all can be played in a comfortable way on my antique QuadCore 9650, and for most of them, you can use a lot of these presets together in a single track, without having to freeze anything. Thus, this synth can be CPU intensive. BUT ... its really up to the programmer, or people creating their own instruments, to control and master that criteria. So this is more to demonstrate that, when carefully handled, this synth can be very CPU efficient.
In any case, I always take care in my soundbanks that all the patches can be played without problems by people who dont have the last wow computers with the latests killer cpus. This was true for my Oxium soundbank for example, where I could run up to 6/8 instances withtout having to freeze any instruments. Some of the presets in PandemOxium are a bit CPU intensive admitedly, but most are not. And this is the same for this synth and this soundbank. Thats a part of why I said that some people might be surprised when they'll discover the name of the synth.
Ok, like always : Its you who control the machines, not the other way. Men are the most important factor by far : Dont let synthesizers dominate you

i have only listed synths that were mentioned either one or two times. ElectraX was mentioned several times AFAIK.
Of course it is very powerful and could be an obvious choice (besides that it is one of my favorite synths and i'm currently working with it myself). For my taste it is TOO powerful which is why i excluded it for myself so far. Same about e.g. Zebra 2 and Synthmaster 2.5.
I have deleted my list as it could be confusing.
UPDATE:
Independent of the number of votes my own remaining choices would be:
Harmor, Dune, Predator, Synthmaster, ElectraX, Rayblaster, Largo, Helix.
Others were excluded based on features and other reasons.
From that list i have already voted for Rayblaster and Dune which i already own (so only the soundbank needed if i win). Others i own from those are Largo and Synthmaster. Predator was sold in 2011.
