A friend of mine just gave me a whole CD case full of Akai based sample libraries that he isnt using any more. I would love to use them, but I have a question.
I have Halion2 and GigaStudio and no real way of using Akai samples without some sort of conversion. How would you guys go about converting these Akai libraries so I can easily access these samples for previewing?
Is there a easier way than converting them all in Halion and manually loading them up? That seems to take forever and isnt really effecient.

We shall see orchestral machines with a thousand new sounds, with thousands of new euphonies, as opposed to the present day's simple sounds of strings, brass, and woodwinds. -- George Antheil, circa 1925 ---

Halion has the same functionality as other conversion programs : you can preview the sounds on disk, you can convert singe samples, programs, partitions or the whole disk. You do need a big disk if you have lots of sample cd's!CultureOfGreed wrote:Is there a easier way than converting them all in Halion and manually loading them up?
