Melda Free Effects Bundle is amazing! Just a little praise. :)

I'm a dumb dumb, Normalize was enabled. Uncheck that and the analyzer responds more normally. I actually quite like the Melda EQ, I've been looking for an EQ with a spectral analyzer and am not really crazy about the one in Reaper (although the Reaper one seems to be more CPU efficient, it looks like ass).

the filter is set to -24 db (as you pic shopws), so the signal is most probably not zero. the display can very well be accurate. it also can be buggy. we would need more information to judge that.Arglebargle wrote:edit: nevermind, like a retard I posted a problem before I checked the settings.

Oh Wow, you fixed it with the "normalize" setting... now it is way better! Thank you.

Here ya go:

You paid HOW many thousand for the that bundle?
Pah. I never pay more than a Euro each for a single plugin.
This is KVR you know, get yourself over to Gearslutz if you feel that way about it...
Saved so I know what to set it back to next time.
Not really Blue but better than that yellow/orange/strangelybrown thing.

I'm thinking this might be good for a kind of logo design for their really 'high-end' plugins:

What do you think? I kinda like it.

You haven't got the licence yet
TIP: Save your Colour Settings combos as presets, then you can use them on the other FX too.
And you do know you can have Knobs, Sliders or Buttons too.

The size change doesn't alter the text size though.. it just makes the overall gui and graphs larger. I wish text would scale with the size changes too.

I didn't. But I do now. Thanks for the tips. I'm gonna have a lot of fun with these.DarkStar wrote: And you do know you can have Knobs, Sliders or Buttons too.
I think those options will really make a difference to how I view these effects. If you see what I mean. I always thought they were a bit dowdy kind of thing, but I had no idea you could change the colours and the SIZE, plus now what you've said. Top stuff. I know they sound great, well good enough for me. Don't worry, I'm planning on buying the Mercury bundle soon. It's just a little matter of, you know, money....
Which brings me on to:
That's coz I've spent it all on Snare sounds. Seriously skint, but I should be able to stretch to getting these before the end of the month.DarkStar wrote:You haven't got the licence yet
It would probably be cheaper being a real drummer and having a real drum kit. Then again I would need a van. Plus there's petrol. Then there's going deaf in one ear. Not to mention not being able to keep time. That is when you turn up (because you've got a serious drug/alcohol problem and can't get out of bed). Then there's the bad jokes, the insults, the fact that all the groupies want to get to the singer first, then the lead guitarist, then the bassist, then the keyboard player, then YOU!
Oh maybe life's not so bad after all. You're not a drummer are you?
Btw, seriously looking forward to your MIDI Groove Player.
Anyway, I quite like that colour scheme... I think I might actually go and play with the EQ now and see (hear) how it sounds....

Codec... your going to buy Waves? Maybe it's just me, but why? Unless you're looking for hardware sims... then there are plenty of good cheaper offerings like these and ToneBoosters. IMO

No, you can't, hence DarkStar's comment. He saw the futility in it all. But I have a record and it's just a matter of getting my colour picker out. I'll try to make sure no one's around.vaisnava wrote: Absolutely LOVELY!

You seem dissapoint in me, son. Next thing, you'll be telling me to get myself over to Gearslutz if I'm into that kind of thing. Come to think of it, if you had a choice, would you rather tell your g/f or wife or mother or whatever that you spent the evening surfing at a place called 'KVR' or 'GearSlutz'? I know which one sounds worse to me.
Seriously, I'd love to buy Waves, but there is no way I can afford them at the moment, and even if I had the money, I still wouldn't buy them, coz I hate those dongley things you have to stick in the back of your computer. Workstations are ok, but laptops, come on. Anyway, I'm not going to allow you to hijack your own thread.
But you're right. Lots of good alternatives. I'm a big Toneboosters fan. I have their free pack of course and I love the free EQ the Jeroen gives away now - TB_EZQ is superb and jb_send doesn't have a flashy interface, but it sounds good on a lot of stuff. I already have the mighty TB_isone. I'd easily grab more, but I tend to spend more on instruments and sounds than FX. Having said that, I bought the Juice pack so I could have EQ2. Love that thing. Love the smaller parametric EQ too, well I would if I could see it. I must get an 800x600 monitor again just to run Image-Line stuff. Oh and I bought SliceX too. So maybe I lied about the FX thing.
Btw, have you tried MDrummer? I tried that a couple of years ago too and it sounded good and was a lot of fun. I'll probably download that again and buy it at some point. It's about the only drum plugin I don't have.
cheers.

It's weird, I like the Melda GUI for some things. The EQ, panner, tremolo, and what have you. For other things like the phaser and flanger I find it ghastly.
